Thursdays are about to get exciting as Max's original crime thriller, Duster Season 1, is here! The first episode of Duster Season 1, titled "Baltimore Changes Everything" dropped on May 15, 2025, at 9 pm ET on Max. Created by Lost's J.J. Abrams and Shameless' LaToya Morgan, this season features eight episodes. New episodes drop every Thursday, with the Duster Season 1 finale set to air on July 3, 2025.

Set in the 1970s Southwest America, the pilot episode of Duster Season 1 introduced the viewers to the leads of the series- a newbie FBI agent, Nina Hayes (Rachel Hilson), and a getaway hotshot driver, Jim Ellis (Josh Holloway). The titular lead of the crime thriller is, however, Jim's red car, a 1970s Duster.

Duster Season 1 Episode 2, titled Suspicious Minds, is all set to drop on Max on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT. The episode is directed by Steph Green and written by the duo J.J. Abrams and LaToya B. Morgan. The upcoming episode of the show will be available to stream via Amazon Prime Video channels, on Max Original, and Max. Max's subscription plans includes:

Duster Season 1 Episode 1: A quick refresher

Duster Season 1 Episode 1, titled Baltimore Changes Everything, was released on May 15, and it introduced the main characters and setting of the crime thriller series. After Agent Nina Hayes faced several hurdles in securing a case(mostly for being the first black woman in this profession), she decided to take up a position in Phoenix, Arizona, to investigate the case of a dangerous mafia, Ezra Saxton, and his huge criminal empire. When Nina arrived in Phoenix, she was warmly greeted by her boss, the office secretary, and her case partner, Agent Awan; however, her superior, Agent Grant, seemed skeptical about her. Throughout the episode, Agent Grant stops Nina from proceeding with the investigation. However, these minor hiccups do not stop Nina from investigating, she finds out about Jim Ellis, Ezra's loyal and skilled driver. Her plan? To make Jim one of the FBI's informants and thus gather evidence against Ezra. Jim Ellis initially turns down the offer and makes a plan to escape to Mexico. However, Nina finds crucial evidence in Jim's brother Joey's death, stating that the bomb blast that killed Joey might have been engineered by Ezra. Jim, even though quite skeptical about Agent Hayes, agrees to be an informant for the FBI.

Episode 2, titled Suspicious Minds, will take off from where the first episode ended. As per the teaser, Jim Ellis begins digging into Joey's death after Nina informs him about the signs of foul play behind what was believed to be an accident. At the same time, he starts working as an FBI informant and keeps a close eye on Ezra's meetings and the shady dealings of the Saxtons. Meanwhile, Ezra Saxton is about to close in on a dangerous deal that would put many lives at risk. Will Nina Hayes be successful in her investigation?
