A quick recap of Elsbeth Season 3 Episode 4

Elsbeth Season 3 Episode 4 was a Halloween-themed episode where Elsbeth and Detective Donnelly arrived in their best costumes to solve a scary murder in the quiet neighborhood of Sleepy Hallows. The suburb's fun Halloween night turned bloody when their Queen Bee, Sharon, brutally killed Beryl, a free-spirited newcomer. The murder was not a sudden moment of rage but a carefully plotted revenge, which saw Sharon severing Beryl's head from her body using a chainsaw.

While Sharon tried to offer a tight alibi to Elsbeth and Detective Donnelly, they found a scarecrow dummy in her garage, which outed her as the killer. Sharon maintained that she was out on her porch, scaring off children in her traditional scarecrow act, during Beryl's murder. However, the scarecrow dummy proved that it was just a ploy to earn a solid alibi. Things were further confirmed when Elsbeth found a fingerprint on the dummy that matched one of the children. Our eccentric protagonist had nothing else to prove, and Sharon was put behind bars.
