The Emmys 2025 were a glittery and star-studded ceremony, hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze. The Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California, witnessed the most coveted awards night in the entertainment industry, which had its fair share of hits and misses.
Apple TV's The Studio, Netflix's Adolescence, and HBO Max's The Pitt emerged as the true winners of the night and won several befitting accolades in different categories. In addition to these big wins, the Emmys 2025 were a night for rookies and late bloomers. While 15-year-old Owen Cooper secured an Emmy for his first acting project, veteran actors like Seth Rogen and Noah Wyle were finally honoured with their long-overdue awards. By recognizing these talents, the awards ceremony reiterated that hard work is eventually recognized.
As The Pitt, Adolescence, Hacks, and The Studio secured major wins, Mike White's The White Lotus was snubbed at the Emmys 2025. The fifteen-time Emmy-winning series did not win even a single Emmy in 2025.

Emmys 2025: The Studio and Adolescence emerged as big winners
Emmys 2025 was certainly a night of firsts, as both freshman series The Studio and Adolescence won big. While Apple TV's satirical comedy series turned all heads at the Emmy nominations, it finally won 13 awards in total, including the Outstanding Comedy Series Award. Additionally, Rogen won his first-ever Emmy award for his character of Matt Remick, a struggling cinephile and the head of a film production company. Rounding up its wins, The Studio also bagged wins for Best Directing and Best Writing.
Moving on to the Limited/ Anthology series category, Netflix's breakout four-part drama series Adolescence took home major awards, including the award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. It was certainly no surprise when Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty picked up their acting wins for Adolescence at the Emmys 2025, but 15-year-old Owen Cooper certainly took the limelight away from them.
Cooper, who played the character of Jamie Miller, bagged an Emmy award for his first acting project. Young Cooper became the youngest Emmy winner in the award's history and is set to appear as young Heathcliff in the upcoming film Wuthering Heights. Adolescence rounded up its winning streak with Best Directing and Best Writing.
Finally, HBO Max's unconventional medical drama series The Pitt won the most coveted award of the night--Outstanding Drama Series. While seasoned industry experts saw this award coming, Noah Wyle's acting win marked the first Emmy win of his decades-spanning career. The veteran actor broke out with his role in ER in 1994, but in a full-circle moment, his first Emmy win came in 2025, for the character of Dr. Robby. Additionally, actress Katherine LaNasa also picked up her first-ever Emmy win for her portrayal of the charge nurse Dana Evans in The Pitt.
