The Primetime Emmy Awards 2025 saw The Studio, The Pitt, and Adolescence taking home the night’s biggest awards. How did the scripted shows perform at Emmys 2025?
The Studio emerged as the biggest winner at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards 2025. The series follows the studio head Matt Remick (played by Seth Rogen) and his team desperately trying to navigate through the many ups and downs of the movie-making business.
The hit series received a total of 13 awards at the Emmys 2025 including Outstanding Actor in Comedy Series for Rogen and Outstanding Comedy Series. The series now holds the record for the most awards for comedy series in the same year.
The Penguin had got eight nods from the Creative Arts Emmys including the awards for makeup and costumes. At the Primetime Emmy awards, Cristin Miloti walked away with the award for Lead Actress in Limited Series.
Severance had a total of 27 nominations at the Emmys 2025 and won eight of it including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Britt Lower and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Tramell Tillman. Tillman made history as the first black person to win in the category.
HBO’s runaway hit medical drama series The Pitt won five Emmy awards including the Outstanding Drama Series as well as Best Actor for Noah Wyle and Outstanding Supporting Actress for Katherine LaNasa.
Meanwhile Adolescence, the Netflix crime drama series, won nine awards including Best Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series for Stephen Graham, Best Supporting Actor for Owen Cooper and Best Supporting Actress for Erin Doherty at Emmys 2025. Graham also won for Outstanding Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series along with Jack Thorne. Cooper became the youngest to win the award in the category.
While Andor was one of the more talked about series this year, at the Emmys 2025 it managed to win only 5 of the 14 awards it was nominated for. Dan Gilroy won the Outstanding Writing For a Drama Series for the episode titled ‘Welcome to the Rebellion’.
