The release date of English Teacher Season 2
English Teacher Season 2 will premiere on FX on Thursday, September 25, 2025. The season will feature 10 episodes, two more than the previous installment.

The storyline of English Teacher Season 2
The second season continues the story of Evan Marquez, who has some new challenges to face at Morrison-Hensley High School in Austin. From students making fun of his attire to accusing him of arriving late, the poor teacher again has a lot to tolerate.
Meanwhile, the students are staging a play on the COVID-19 pandemic, which does not seem to be going as planned. At the same time, Evan’s mother arrives in the city, and he rekindles his romance with his ex-boyfriend, Malcolm. The official synopsis of English Teacher Season 2 reads:
“[The season follows Evan] as he continues to navigate his way through the political minefield known as the American high school. Back with Evan - though not always on his side - are his best friend Gwen, gym teacher Markie, wild card guidance counselor Rick, and constantly terrified Principal Grant Moretti.”
“Not surprisingly, Evan still refuses to stay quiet when controversy arises at Morrison-Hensley High. This season, the gang finds themselves in the crosshairs of issues including climate change, COVID, military recruitment and student phone usage. Evan also struggles to keep his relationship with Malcolm separate from his work life.”
