Entangled: Everything we know so far about the upcoming spy drama starring Absentia lead Stana Katic

If you loved Stana Katic in Absentia, then make sure to stay updated on her new upcoming series, Entangled. This means that the actress is once again stepping into an espionage-driven role of a CIA officer.

Since this new series will be a spy drama, the CIA officer is named Abby Sullivan, and she will work alongside her husband, Jim Sullivan. Spy drama enthusiasts must gear up for Entangled, an upcoming series that will bring back Stana Katic in a thrilling role once again. Interestingly, the drama is inspired by the real lives of Meredith and Freddie Woodruff, who were among the first married CIA operatives to operate undercover as a team.

They managed operations in regions like Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and while doing so, they also raised children. They didn't just track down terrorists, but also recruited informants and even managed sources and survived violent groups.

Since the series is currently in development, the other cast members haven't been revealed. However, the casting of Stana Katic hints that Entangled will be packed with some of the most talented stars from the industry.

Who is behind the scenes of the Entangled spy drama?

Behind the camera, Entangled is supported by a group of producers who come from different corners of the entertainment and intelligence world. Stana Katic herself is among the executive production team, joined by Meredith Woodruff, Jeff Frost, John Sipher, Jerry O’Shea, and Rachel Harner.

Jeff Frost who was once the president of Sony Pictures Television Studios, is contributing from his own company, while the other three are from Spycraft Entertainment. The team has come together to ensure that the story isn't entirely fictional, and the makers also get input from someone who has worked as a CIA officer.

So while Entangled is on the way, fans can rewatch Absentia on Netflix as all three seasons have been made available on the platform. Apart from this TV series, Katic also made a name for her role as Kate Beckett in ABC’s hit show Castle.

In recent times, the actress has appeared in other popular shows like Murder in a Small Town in 2024. And before these hit shows, Katic has been a part of The Shield, ER, 24, and Heroes. This also suggests that the actress is bringing in a lot of experience from her previous work and will once again engage fans in the upcoming drama.
