The Boys Season 5 has officially wrapped filming, and the person behind it all, Eric Kripke, marked this moment with a touching post on Instagram and X from the Vought Tower set.

Yes, it's all finally done and the cameras have stopped rolling. The scenes are all locked in, and Kripke is saying goodbye to the show's iconic headquarters.

Kripke posted a photo from the Seven's meeting room and shared his thoughts and feelings on what it meant to stand on that set for one last time.

A farewell from Vought Tower as Eric Kripke closes The Boys Season 5

When a show that is so iconic as The Boys comes to an end, it's not just the fans who are saying goodbye, its the makers, too. For Eric Kripke, finishing up The Boys Season 5 meant closing a long and emotional project of his career.

Kripke shared a behind-the-scenes photo taken by Karen Fukuhara, who plays Kimiko, inside the Seven's meeting room at Vought Tower.

In the post shared on X and Instagram, Kripke is seen gazing at a portrait of Homelander, deep in thought.

In his caption on Instagram, Kripke wrote,

"This is the last time I'll ever be on this set. It'll be torn down soon. It's bittersweet, but my primary feeling is gratitude. We have the best cast, the best crew, the most fun story to write, and something that is impossible to predict: the right timing... To the fans: thanks for watching, can't wait for you to see the grand finale. That's a wrap."

It's a clear sign that The Boys Season 5 is now heading into post production after filming. Kripke confirmed the final season is currently on schedule, giving fans hope for a timely 2026 release.

All major scenes, including those featuring Homelander and Billy Butcher, have been filmed. For Kripke, it's more than a wrap — as he said in his caption, his primary feeling his "gratitude."

The pressure and pride behind ending The Boys Season 5

Eric Kripke has always been vocal about the challenges of concluding a story like The Boys. Previously speaking on the Creator to Creator podcast, he opened up about the real pressure of sticking the landing.

He admitted,

"I am in a fair amount of terror about a series finale..."

He also explained why it's so difficult to end a long-running series right:

"You can count in one, maybe two hands, the truly great series finales... the graveyard is literally filled with terrible series finales."

Drawing inspiration from shows like Breaking Bad, Kripke revealed that part of the charm lies in tying up all loose ends. He explained,

"They said, 'We had just a list of loose ends on our board... and then when it came time to do the final season, we would just start checking them off."

That mindset might have clearly shaped how The Boys Season 5 is wrapped up. Since 2019, Kripke has led this explosive, satirical take on superheroes, turning it into not just a hit show, but a cultural talking point.

With spin offs like Gen V and a dedicated fanbase that's still growing, Kripke's work has already made a lasting mark. But The Boys Season 5 will mark his finale for this particular show, and he's making sure it counts.

The Boys Season 5 has finished filming, and Eric Kripke's emotional goodbye from Vought Tower seals the deal. With production complete and post production underway, all eyes now turn to 2026 for the grand finale.

It is the end of an era and Kripke promises it is one that fans won't forget.
