HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV series is expanding on its magical world. Being a beloved piece of literature, the excitement around the HBO series is real and the network is only heightening this anticipation with new cast details each day.
The upcoming series will adapt J.K. Rowling's children's fantasy books, which were previously adapted into feature films starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
According to HBO, the upcoming series will be a more faithful adaptation of Rowling's books, adapting each book in one season and will likely continue for a decade.
Recently, the network found their Golden Trio of Harry, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. In addition to previously announced roles, the series has also cast nine additional roles, including Draco and Lucius Malfoy.
The story follows an 11-year-old Harry who discovers his magical powers when he is accepted into Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry, where he fights against the dark lord Voldemort.
The production of the TV series will begin this summer in Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, Hertfordshire.
