Episode 7 started with the blast at a Brooklyn apartment building. The house was entirely wrecked, and the lives of its inhabitants were put at risk. The first step of the investigators was to determine the cause of the explosion, and they discovered it was caused by a heating coil-based device, which was used as a time-delay detonator.

Thus, they found out that this was deliberate arson rather than an accidental fire. An arsonist who had just been released on parole was discovered at a nearby facility, and thus, the investigation led from the device to the arsonist. It gets confirmed that the blast is connected to a larger-scale criminal ring, rather than being a single act of crime.

The investigation revealed that the arson was ordered from within a prison; this links it to gang activities, hence proving that the bombing was part of a strategic plan. During the process, agents go inside the prison to gather evidence and interrogate suspects. That is when the riot happens inside the prison, which put these agents in grave danger.

Among these were Agents Stuart Scola and Eva Ramos, while Agents Maggie Bell and Omar Adom "OA" step in to get them out. Eventually, backup arrives and restores order and safety for the agents.
