"Feeling super good": The Road star Billie Jo Jones talks about pre-show nerves

The Road premiered on October 19, 2025, featuring musicians looking forward to making a big move in their musical careers.

CBS shared a video clip on October 20, 2025, via Instagram, revealing how the musicians felt before their performances. While some of them talked about being excited and nervous, a few felt that it was a huge moment in their career.

One of the cast members featured on The Road, Billie Jo Jones, talked about being nervous. She also confessed that she would give her "very best" for her first performance. Billie Jo Jones shared:

"I am feeling super good. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty nervous. I'm gonna do the very best that I can and make my kiddos back home proud tonight."

The Road: Cast members open up about feeling nervous before hitting the stage

In a latest video clip, some of the musicians featured on The Road opened up about the excitement they all felt. One of them, Olivia Harms, noted that she was very excited, and everybody had their nerves. Olivia confessed:

"I'm feeling very excited. Everybody has their nerves. Everyone's thinking this is the first one and we're gonna do such a good job and we're having the best time like, we're a little family now. I'm just like, so excited and all these people are amazing. I can't wait to go see the fans."

Another cast member, Forrest McCurren, talked about the crowd, and the spirits were high. Ten minutes before going on the stage, he was working on his breathing.

Channing Wilson noted that he was ready to go and could also hear the crowd. One more cast member, Billie Jo Jones, shared that she felt super good and "pretty nervous."

Cody Hibbard shared that he was feeling good and ready to get on the stage. Briana Adams shared:

"Super pumped after getting all the feedback from everybody that's gone up there. It sounds like it's a blast. I'm looking forward to getting that energy and just ready to play some Country music for the folks."

CBS also shared another clip featuring some of the musicians from the show sharing whether they felt nervous before their first performance.

One of the cast members, Cassidy Daniels, confessed to the cameras that she still couldn't believe that she was playing for Keith Urban. She was the last one to perform and felt full of energy. Cassidy added:

"I feel like I can kick down the door."

Jon Wood noted that he felt excited as he had waited for that day for a really long time. The Road's Jenny Tolman shared that he was beyond excited. One of the cast members, Adam Sanders, confessed that he was surprised to be feeling "really calm." He added that it felt as if he was waiting his whole career for this kind of moment to come.

Britnee Hellogg shared that she was excited and couldn't wait to go on stage and give her best performance. Blaine Bailey stated that she was confident and was going to brush off the nervousness and keep going.
