Fire Country Season 4 Episode 4 recap: Manny confronts Bode and Station 42 gets a new Battalion chief

In Episode 4 of Fire Country Season 4, Audrey found Bode's pills and even counted them, revealing one missing. She informed Manny about it, who confronted Bode. While he told him he did not take drugs, he was not being completely truthful to him. However, Manny still backed Bode up when Richards tried to get rid of him from the station.

The episode was particularly heartbreaking for Bode as he lost another important person in his life, as Audrey left 42 and was relocating to 58. Another important development in the episode was Manny being chosen as the Battalion Chief instead of Jake by Richards.

Fire Country Season 4 Episode 4 recap: Manny gave Bode a drug test

After finding a pill missing, Audrey was terrified of Bode not being sober in Episode 4 of Fire Country Season 4. She informed Manny about this, who then conducted a rapid drug test on Bode. The test came back negative, and Bode told Manny that he did not consume any drugs and blamed Audrey for the issue, and also told him that Richards was trying to find ways to get him removed from the station.

While he did not consume any drugs, he was not being entirely truthful to Manny, who was ready to back him up against Richards, and took his responsibility. While Rixhards did learn about Bode being an addict, the test results helped Manny back him up against the new character. However, there were various other challenges for Manny in the episode as Richards named him in charge for the day.


Fire Country Season 4 Episode 4 recap: Manny's day as an IC

In Episode 4 of Fire Country Season 4, Richards made Manny in charge for the day instead of Jake, resulting in a build-up of some competition between the two. While Manny tried to manage his team and Bode, Jake wanted to do something that would guarantee him becoming the next Battalion Chief. Therefore, when Richards revealed that he would promote anyone who would get rid of Bode, Jake was ready to do the job.

Their task for the day was to save a couple on the farm who were trapped in the silo. The wife was climbing up when the ladder broke. She was the first one to be saved, and the next was her husband, who was trapped in the Silo. It was Bode and Audrey who went in to save the husband, whose lungs were compressed, but they still stabilized him. The team worked together to save the couple, Jake even helping out and giving the idea to cut holes to get rid of the grains in the Silo, and rescue the husband. The firefighters of Station 42 saved the lives of both the people and also prevented their harvest from going to waste.


Fire Country Season 4 Episode 4 recap: Richards announces the new chief, and Bode reveals his truth

With the task that the team completed, Richards noticed how Manny was the perfect candidate for becoming the chief of 42, as he was the one who was able to lead the team, including Bode and Jake, to work together. Therefore, in Episode 4 of Fire Country Season 4, Richards decided to make Manny the Battalion Chief.

Later, Bode also tells Manny everything after he is asked again. He revealed to him that he did put one pill in his mouth, but spat it out instantly. He was not doing well after Vince's death and was still trying to cope with it. Even after knowing the truth, Manny still decides to stand up with Bode.

At the end, Audrey also informed Bode that she was transferring to Station 58 and leaving 42.
