Ahsoka's second season carries on the Return of the Jedi plot. Grand Admiral Thrawn leads the remaining Galactic Empire against the New Republic, and it centers on Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren as they get stuck in another galaxy. Eight episodes make up the season, which is accessible on Disney+.

Alongside Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Eman Esfandi, Hayden Christensen, and Rory McCann, Rosario Dawson returns to her role as Ahsoka. Dave Filoni is the writer and showrunner. In April 2025, filming got underway in the UK.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, it was revealed that Eman Esfandi would be making his Ahsoka Season 2 debut as Ezra Bridger, and he mainly looks a lot like the cartoon character now. In the ongoing Star Wars story, Esfandi will return to the character as Ezra faces new challenges.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Eman Esfandi's official headshot for Ahsoka Season 2's Ezra Bridger was unveiled, and the updated look shows a close connection to the original series and brings Ezra closer to his animated role in Star Wars Rebels.

Esfandi, who first portrayed Ezra in Season 1, makes a comeback as the Jedi assumes a crucial part in the evolving conflict with Grand Admiral Thrawn. In the Season 1 finale, Ezra successfully fled the faraway galaxy of Peridea with the assistance of Sabine Wren.

He returned to the New Republic disguised as a Night Trooper, where he encountered Chopper and Hera Syndulla. While Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang remain marooned on Peridea, new mysteries emerge, including the existence of the Mortis gods and Baylan Skoll's pursuit of old power.

As Ezra battles Thrawn, who now represents a serious danger to the New Republic, Season 2 will chronicle his adventure. Ezra and the other heroes must move swiftly to prevent a wider conflict since Thrawn has the support of the Empire's remaining members. Early information about new characters, fierce combat, and a more thorough examination of the Force and Star Wars mythology has been released by Lucasfilm.

Season 2 filming began in April 2025 in the United Kingdom. Dave Filoni, who developed and wrote the series, will return as showrunner. Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, and David Tennant as Huyang's voice are among the cast members who are returning. Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christensen, returns as a Force ghost, and Ray Stevenson performed the part of Baylan Skoll.

Texas-born Eman Esfandi, who has Ecuadorian and Iranian ancestry, has won accolades for his performance as Ezra. He gives emotional depth and intensity to the character because of his experience in both acting and filmmaking.

Ahsoka Season 2 is planned to premiere on Disney+ in 2026. As the story progresses, Ezra Bridger will play an important role in determining the galaxy's future.
