Fox's upcoming multi-camera comedy project, Perf, has added Andre Savage to its cast. Additionally, Andre Savage has signed a deal to work as a writer, executive producer, and creator of the upcoming Fox show.
Multi-camera sitcoms like Seinfeld, Friends, or even The Big Bang Theory prove that nothing can go wrong with this traditional approach to TV comedy, and Fox is ready to bring that classic style back to your screen soon.
According to Deadline, Perf (the working title) is said to reflect Andrea Savage's 'edgy real-life voice' and her signature spin on adulting—awkward, chaotic, and undeniably funny. Perf is being developed by Fox Entertainment Studios.
What did Andrea Savage say about Perf?
Talking to Deadline, the actor-comedian explained,
"Michael Thorn and Fox promised me that I can say anything I want other than the word f*&k, and I said, ‘Where do I sign?!’,”
She shared her excitement for the upcoming show and praised multi-camera comedies.
“Seriously, though, I am so excited to take my swing, I truly love multi-camera comedies, and I couldn’t have found more game and supportive partners.”
Andrea Savage took to Instagram to share the happy news and wrote,
"Hi. It’s me. I know I have been MIA on here for a minute 😬 but… I am SOOOOOO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS NEWS!! It has taken me a minute to live some life and begin anew, but here we are. ☺️ And a multi-cam?? I mean come on!!
The post further reads,
"I really am just thrilled to jump back elbow deep into the real and ridiculous stories of being an adult. And to make people feel like I still sneak into your homes and record your conversations. Yes, I stand over you when you sleep and don’t blink. Don’t make it weird. Actuallyyyyy… make it super fucking weird. There we go. (I was creepily nodding while I typed that. I am not proud. ) Much more soon!!"
