Game of Thrones Season 4 Episode 4: Did Olenna kill Joffrey?

After Sansa escapes with Littlefinger, she asks him about where they are heading. Littlefinger tells her that he's to marry her aunt Lysa, so they are travelling to The Eyrie. Littlefinger's a complex personality, one where you cannot judge what his next move will be. He tells Sansa that his connection with the Lannisters was productive until Joffrey ruined it, and so he made new friends.

His new friends are Olenna and Margaery. The camera pans towards them, taking a stroll in the garden, when Olenna tells Margaery of ways to get to Tommen. (Don't worry, she uses the tricks later) As Olenna slides her hands through Margaery's hair, she removes something and adjusts from Margaery's necklace. Now, even though it's not direct, Olenna's words and actions clarify that she poisoned Joffrey.

Does Jon Snow get permission to go to Craster's Keep?

At Castle Black, we see Jon Snow training the Night's Watchmen. However, Ser McAllister isn't thrilled; he mocks Jon for his position. Janos Slynt observes Jon's popularity, and he pitches Allister to grant Jon permission for the mutineer's hunt for Craster's Keep. In the end, Allister agrees to it, and he lets Jon go to Caster's keep, but with some men.

The scene shifts to Craster's Keep, where we see Karl drinking from Jeor Mormont's skull. He's barbaric. There's Ghost, too, Jon Snow's faithful dog, who's caged and tortured.

Game of Thrones Season 4 Episode 4: Oathkeeper

Jamie gives Brienne a task while she's busy reading Jamie's entry in the Book of Brothers. Jamie then gifts her a Valyrian steel sword and asks her to protect Sansa Stark with it. He says,

"You'll use it to defend Ned Stark's daughter. You swore an oath to return the Stark girls to their mother. LadyStark's dead. Arya's probably dead too. But there's still a chance to find Sansa and get her somewhere safe."

He also gives her a new armor as Brienne says,

"I'll find her for Lady Catelyn and for you."

And the third gift? It's a squire. It's Podrick Payne. Jamie insists that they will surely get along, but Brienne's not too sure. Before parting, Jamie asks for the sword's name, and to which Brienne answers that it's 'oathkeeper'.

Meanwhile, we also see Bran and his company are taken hostage by mutineers, and they are brought before Karl. Elsewhere, they torture Hodor. Karl puts a knife to Meera's throat, and Bran finally acknowledges that he's a Stark, and they get to live as of now.
