Here is what happened in Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 7, recap revisited
As mentioned, in Game of Thrones Season 5 episode 7, Jon is leaving towards the back of the Wall to get the Wildlings to the south, protecting them from White Walkers. Before he leaves, Sam offers him dragonglass, the one proven weapon against White Walkers. This sets up Sam as someone who thinks about survival, keeping other grudges aside in Castle Black.
On the other hand, inside the Castle, Aemon is getting weaker, and his life seems to be fading. This creates a mournful mood eventually in the show. He is revisiting some of his life's important memories, and it's Gilly and Sam who are taking care of him. During his final moments, while lying on the bed, he starts to hallucinate his conversation with his younger brother Aegon Targaryen and pleads with Gilly to take her baby south before it's too late. These moments suggest that he can gauge the danger Castle Black is under before he closes his eyes forever.
What happens next takes the Game of Thrones episode towards some absurd themes it follows. A group of Night's Watchmen corners Gilly and sexually harasses her, demanding a kiss. This is when Sam draws his sword and tries to protect her. The men then go behind Sam and beat him cruelly, hitting his head on the stone repeatedly. The violence stops only when Ghost, Jon's dire wolf, appears, which scares the attackers away.
Gilly reaches Sam and scolds him for risking himself. At this moment, she slides into initiating intercourse and takes Sam's virginity. Though this scene comes across as intimate and tender, given that Gilly is a survivor of sexual abuse and Sam is currently bleeding heavily, the scene makes less sense. Moreover, the characters aren't thinking about the threat of the attack that is still looming, and emotionally resetting themselves with an intimate moment.
This is how season 5 episode 7 of Game of Thrones ends, revisited

The screen cuts to the events at Winterfell, and we see Sansa again getting threatened by her husband, Ramsay Bolton. Sansa's bruises and wounds tell that she is being assaulted by him. However, in episode 7 of the 5th part, Bolton takes Sansa for a walk and abruptly shows her the corpse of the old woman who helped her escape. This marks another of Bolton's ways of terrifying Sansa and making her realize the consequences of her actions.
Jamie Lannister is being held in a comfortable quarter. He reunites with Myrcella, who again confirms that she has no intention of returning to King's Landing. Meanwhile, Bronn is imprisoned and spends time singing while being haunted by sand snakes.
On the other side, Cersei meets Margaery Tyrell in prison. While Cersei holds a poised attitude, Margaery is shaken up by the time she has spent in jail. As soon as Cersei starts to weave a hollow story about her hustling to get her out of prison, Margaery sees through it and intervenes by telling Cersei that she is aware of Cersei's intentions.
