After waiting for an entire year, fans can finally watch Gen V Season 2 on Prime Video, which brings back the young supes at Godolkin University. Serving as the spin-off to The Boys, this show focuses on youngsters being trained to become the next heroes.

However, it's not that simple. These young supes must face corruption, difficult choices, and rivalry to gain the power they desire. And being the spin-off, it borrows heavily from The Boys universe, especially in power dynamics (Vought corporation, Supes vs humans).

Season 2 began after the events of The Boys Season 4, which means that Homelander's rise in power also affects what's happening at Godolkin University. Main characters like Marie Moreau, Emma Meyer, Jordan Li, have returned, along with Hamish Linklater is the new Dean.

Interestingly, these characters aren't the only ones who made their way back. Figures like Starlight, Firecracker, and others also return in Gen V Season 2, and their presence adds to the ever-changing dynamics in the show.

A detailed look into which major super returned in Season 2 of Gen V is right below.

The shared universe expands with the return of some major supes from The Boys in Season 2. Their presence isn't just small cameos, as they also highlight the growing tensions and differences between superheroes and ordinary people.

So, here's a list of 5 key figures who made their way back:

1) The Deep (Kevin Moskowitz)

In Gen V Episode 2, "Justice Never Forgets," The Deep returns for a very brief moment. As we see him at his college fraternity taking part in a hazing ritual, it reinforces how vain and self-absorbed he is. These scenes are perfect to show who he is as a person and how he is more concerned with himself than anything else.

2) Starlight (Annie January)

As seen in Gen V Season 2 premiere titled "New Year New U," Annie January (a.k.a. Starlight) returns and saves Marie Moreau, who is hiding from a bounty hunter named Dogknott.

Starlight urges Marie to return to Godolkin University, arguing it's the safest place for her and that she must investigate Project Odessa, a mysterious program associated with experiments at the university. This leads Marie into a potential fight against Vought and Homelander, hinting at a bigger fight in The Boys universe.

3) Sister Sage (Jessica "Sage" Bradley)

In Gen V Season 2, Episode 5, titled "The Kids Are Not Alright," Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) returns. We witness her share a private moment with Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater), who bonds with her in their interaction.

What starts as casual banter between them escalates to an intense moment of intimacy that is unexpected, which makes for more complicated representations of their characters. This unexpected pairing indicates that Sage is not merely an innocent observer but a very active participant in action.

4) Firecracker (Misty Tucker Gray)

In Gen V Season 2, Firecracker establishes her presence not with strength, but through her influence. Portrayed by Valorie Curry, she utilizes her media platform to spread Vought's propaganda and to protect the establishment's growing allegiance to Homelander.

Firecracker is the anchor of the hot-talking-head show Truthbomb, and she lives on controversy, distorting facts to match Vought's agenda, while attacking anyone who questions the actions of the Supes.

5) Black Noir II (Nathan Mitchell)

As of now, Black Noir II hasn't appeared in Gen V Season 2, but he's among the supes who will definitely make a return. After the original Black Noir’s death in The Boys Season 3, Vought quietly replaced him with a new person wearing the same suit to keep up appearances.

This version of Black Noir is more expressive and uncertain compared to the silent killer we knew before. So, fans can look forward to watching Black Noir II in the latest chapter of the spin-off.
