The latest trending K-drama, Good Boy, returned with Episode 10 "Time Out," on June 29, 2025, on JTBC and streaming platforms. It follows a special crime investigation team made up of former Olympic champions.
However, in Episode 10, a failed mission ends up in the long-expected disbandment of the team. Although the group had clearly been on thin ice for a while, they somehow held on until now.
But even after the team is officially dissolved, Dong-ju, the determined boxer-turned-police officer, isn’t ready to give up the fight. Instead of active cases, he’s now stuck with odd jobs under community service assignments.
Still, that doesn't slow him down. Dong-ju remains laser-focused on going after Min Ju-Yeong, the powerful villain at the heart of the criminal network.

Good Boy Episode 10 recap: Jong-hyeon survives the gunshot, but the scar remains

Episode 9 ended with high tension: Jong-hyeon was shot and fell into the sea, Han-na was stranded in enemy territory, and Dong-ju was showing signs of dizziness, hinting at health problems. Good Boy Episode 10 wastes no time and jumps right into the aftermath.
Thankfully, Jong-hyeon survived as he was rushed to the hospital by Dong-ju and Han-na. Later in the episode, flashback scenes reveal how Jong-hyeon injured his ankle while saving Han-na from an accident, just a day before his championship.
His ankle was severely injured, due to which Jong-hyeon failed to maintain balance during his game. It played a role in ending his sports career, and now the recent incident once again injured his ankle after he was shot.
The doctor claimed that Jong-hyeon might not be able to continue his work. Han-na feels guilty seeing Jong-hyeon in that condition, believing his old injury was somehow her fault. But Jong-hyeon gently reassures her, telling her not to blame herself because it had nothing to do with her.

Good Boy Episode 10 digs more into Dong-ju's past

The Good Boy episode also spends time digging into Dong-ju's past. We see parts of his youth, revealing a more vulnerable side to him as a struggling student. It’s shown how Man-sik, who’s mostly been a funny, bumbling team leader until now, actually helped mentor Dong-ju and shape his boxing skills.
Since the beginning, he has been taking care of Dong-ju, and even now, Man-sik continues to explore jobs for him. Dong-ju's aunt is still in the hospital recovering from the gunshot Min Ju-yeong gave her. So, the good boy needs money, and Man-sik has ensured he earns enough to meet the requirements.
Dong-ju's illness raises the stakes as he gets back in the battle against Min Ju-yeong

As Good Boy Episode 10 nears its end, Dong-ju gets back into action, even though we now know he’s battling a serious neurological illness. He has been fighting the individuals involved in Min Ju-yeong's criminal network and taking away the mysterious watch that each of them has been gifted by the criminal.
His new attack on Min Ju-yeong's network is working well, which also seems to inspire his former teammates to get back into the fight. As seen in the preview, the battle will continue until they prove Min Ju-yeong guilty.
