The K-drama, Good Boy returned with Episode 2 this week on Sunday, June 1, 2025 on Amazon Prime Video and the JTBC channel. Rather than going back in time, this episode picks up where we left off with the misfits coming face-to-face with their enemies, and luckily for them, bringing them down against all odds.
Dong-ju had already taken out all the other men, and only Golden Bunny was standing. And with that, we get the long anticipation of face-off. However, it does not go according to plan for the flashy villain, as Dong-ju knocks him down so hard that he ends up breaking down both of Golden Bunny's signature golden front teeth.
Meanwhile, Jong-hyeon and all the other heroes also succeeded in winning their battles. The next day, everyone is talking about these officers, with reporters eagerly waiting to interview Dong-ju and the team.
The Insung Police Department now seems to be gradually getting back its reputation, all thanks to the misfits. However, this doesn't mean that Golden Bunny and Silver Bunny will remain locked up, as there's already a traitor inside the law enforcement.
Later in the evening, Dong-ju follows Ha-na to her house, ensuring she reaches home safely. He also takes pictures of the faulty street lights in her neighborhood. Ha-na then claims she will never like him back, but that doesn't hurt Dong-ju as he's still hopeful about her.

Good Boy Episode 2 recap: The return of the heroes, Avengers?

As Good Boy Episode 2 continues, we see Dong-ju's cousin has returned after being unreachable for a few days. He's battling health issues, and Dong-ju is determined to save funds for a surgery that would help him recover.
Meanwhile, Man-sik tries to win over Commissioner Cho Pa-yeol by giving him a massage, hoping it'll help him persuade the boss to take the special recruits under his wing. He mentions their skills, including Dong-ju's boxing, Ha-na's shooting, saying they all are "Faster, Further, Stronger" which also happens to be the episode 2 title.
The commissioner gets impressed by Man-sik's idea and asks if he means "Return of the heroes. The Avengers", to which Man-sik replies that he'll be their Iron Man. The very next day, the commissioner announces that they're forming a special criminal investigation team to fight crime in Insung.
Man-sik and the team are incredibly excited to take on the new responsibility until they realize that this special team is actually a PR team. Later in the Good Boy episode, Ha-na is asked to show off her shooting skills for a PR event—and she nails it, hitting the bullseye with every single shot.
However, the commissioner once again interrupts her, and Ha-na ends up shooting him. Thankfully, the commissioner was wearing the newly launched bulletproof vest, which saved him.

Ha-na plans to resign from the special recruit team in Good Boy Episode 2

Following the PR event, Ha-na leaves without notice, leaving Man-sik and the others worried. Turns out she's at the Insung airport, venting her frustration at the shooting range, letting each bullet carry her anger.
Jong-hyeon knew exactly where to find her, so he headed over to meet Ha-na. The former shooter asks if he's there to arrest her, to which Jong-hyeon replies that nothing has been decided yet, but she might face disciplinary actions for shooting the commissioner.
Ha-na claims she doesn't care anymore, but Jong-hyeon reminds he of her dream. He even suggested she leave after finishing the ongoing case. Later, she goes to the recent hit-and-run victim's house to give his belongings to his family.
The son of the deceased asks Ha-na to capture the ones who killed his father. This might ultimately lead Ha-na to reconsider her resignation and get back on the special recruit team in the Good Boy.
Dong-ju finds out the real culprit behind the hit-and-run case
As the Good Boy episode proceeds, Dong-ju and Man-sik interrogate Golden Bunny, but he barely answers any questions. Soon, he's taken away by other officers and the case is also transferred to a different team.
Man-sik and Dong-ju find it quite disappointing and suspicious, as they believe there's someone who's running the plan. Later, Man-sik answers a phone call, which turns out to be a tip about culprits hiding in a building.
Just as the officers make their way to the building, Man-sik suddenly spirals out of control. It turns out the candy he ate earlier wasn’t candy at all. It was laced with drugs, which results in odd behaviour.
Man-sik's behaviour leads to humorous moments, but not for long. The officers almost captured the culprit who had some crucial documents, but he ran away. Man-sik also ends up getting severely injured, but Dong-ju saves him by risking his own life.
As the episode nears its end, Dong-ju finds out his cousin, Young-il, has confessed to the hit-and-run case. He knows that Yeong-il has been pressurized to take the blame and must waste no time in finding out the real culprit.
Dong-ju then attends the hit-and-run victim's funeral, where he notices a man wearing the same watch that he saw on the actual culprit's hand. He then checks the register with the attendees' names and heads toward the Insung customs office.
After checking on a few officials, Dong-ju finally finds the man he has been looking for. The actual culprit of the recent accident and the man who dragged Dong-ju that day. He confronts him, but the man refuses to remember him.
The stakes are high as Dong-ju would do everything to prove his cousin's innocence, even if it means risking his life.
