Good Boy returned with episode 7 on June 21, 2025, on the JTBC network and Amazon Prime Video, featuring Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-yi, Tae Won-seok, and more. The action-comedy K-drama follows a group of former Olympic champions who are now tasked with saving people by working as police officers.

As seen in the premiere, each former athlete faced a setback in their career, after which they got another chance to prove their worth. However, this time, they aren't in the ring, but at the Insung Police Department, tasked with taking down ruthless criminals.

The team is led by Man-sik, a former wrestler who's now determined to prove that the customs officer, Min Ju-yeong, runs a criminal network beyond South Korea. However, things are becoming even more complicated, especially now that Ju-yeong has finally confronted Dong-ju, and the criminals have also arrived in the country.

In episode 7 of Good Boy, Mi-ja is rushed to the hospital after being shot at her restaurant. While doctors manage to keep her alive, she remains unconscious and in serious condition. As the Good Boy Episode 7 begins, Dong-ju is sidelined, and the team works on tracking down the burner phone dealer. This would help them find out details about everyone Min Ju-yeong connected with, most likely the ones in his criminal network.

The plot thickens when the team finds critical data on the burner phone, revealing links to Yeon-ha, aka Drug Demon. A tourist guide connected to the Russian mafia becomes a key lead. Dong-ju uses intimidation tactics to get answers from the man, gradually unraveling the larger smuggling network.

The team gets to work hunting down various suspects tied to the operation. Meanwhile, Yeon-ha pays Ju-yeong a visit in the hospital, asking about a mysterious woman.

Ju-yeong refuses to answer while also fearing for his life, and presses her for details on how Mi-ja survived. A flashback confirms that Ju-yeong had indeed shot Mi-ja, and Yeon-ha used Mi-ja’s phone to inform Dong-ju about the tragedy.

Dong-ju and Man-shik continue chasing clues and soon uncover two major players: Leo, a ruthless figure within the Russian mafia, and Baek, who leads a trafficking ring. As the Good Boy episode continues, Leo kills one of his own men after finding out he tipped off the police.

Luckily, Jae-hong and Han-na were able to find Leo, and Han-na even tried to chase him. However, the criminal fired shots at her car, leaving Han-na furious as she almost caught the mafia.

Ju-yeong then finally recovers and makes an uninvited visit to Mi-ja’s hospital room. Furious, Dong-ju threatens to kill him, but Ju-yeong coldly replies that if Mi-ja ever identifies him as the shooter, she won’t live to talk about it.

Han-na, fed up with his cruelty, throws a fruit basket at his face and delivers a threat of her own. Ju-yeong later gathers his key allies: Leo, Yeon-ha, Baek, and Jong-gu for an urgent meeting.

A painful secret and Han-na's love for Dong-ju emerge in Good Boy Episode 7

Since the commissioner is also involved in the corruption, he remains firm on disbanding the special unit. Later during his disciplinary hearing, Dong-ju doesn’t argue with the officials; instead, he recites an athlete’s pledge and storms out.

He disappears for days, worrying his team, until they eventually find him hiding out at their office, battered and bruised. His emotional wounds come to the surface when he follows Han-na home. She scolds him for disappearing and shutting everyone out.

Then, unexpected news breaks in the Good Boy episode: the commissioner has reversed his decision to shut down the team. It turns out Dong-ju had begged Ju-yeong to spare the unit and offered to settle things directly with him.

It's revealed that he was beaten up by Oh Jong-gu while Min Ju-yeong enjoyed the scene. Even as Han-na tries to reach out to him, Dong-ju keeps his distance and endures the pain. The episode also reveals that Dong-ju might be suffering from Punch-drunk syndrome due to his boxing career.

This means Dong-ju's brain might have been damaged as he keeps on passing out randomly, his vision gets blurry, and his nose keeps on bleeding. Eventually, he shows up at Han-na’s house again, playfully bonding with her dog named after him.

As Han-na begins to walk away, Dong-ju stops her and finally owns up to everything he’s put her through. She’s touched by his honesty, tells him she’s proud of him, and asks if he plans to give up.

As expected, Dong-ju hasn't given up on chasing Min Ju-yeong and even claimed that he withstood every blow to build up his inner strength. Good Boy Episode 7 ends on an emotional note, featuring a passionate kiss between Han-na and Dong-ju.
