Park Bo-gum's light-hearted yet punchy Korean action-comedy, Good Boy, continues to engage fans with its unique story about a squad of ex-sports champions boxed out of their athletic careers by money troubles, injuries, or short career spans. Now, they work to protect the public as specially recruited police officers.
As seen in the premiere episode, Yoon Dong-ju (played by Park Bo-gum) arrives at the Insung Metropolitan Police Agency, and his skills are soon tested when a pivotal case emerges. This case isn't just about fighting crime, but has also become personal as Dong-ju lost his cousin.
The other ex-athletes who joined the special team are all working together to prove the customs officer, Min Ju-young, guilty of multiple crimes. So far, the series has completed 7 episodes, and the special task force team continues to chase Ju-young's criminal network.
The series returns today, as Good Boy Episode 8 is scheduled to come out on June 22, 2025, on JTBC for the local audience and Amazon Prime Video for the international audience. The show is also available on Netflix in South Korea as its popularity continues to grow.

Good Boy Episode 8: Everything to know

Episode 8 of the latest K-drama, Good Boy is is scheduled to drop on Saturday, June 22, 2025. In South Korea, viewers can tune in at 10:40 PM KST.
Apart from being aired on the TV network, it’s also available to stream on big-name services like Netflix and Disney+. Local platforms such as TVING, CHZZK, Wavve, and Coupang Play are also offering the show. So Korean viewers have plenty of options to catch up with the drama.
For global audiences, Good Boy is being offered exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries. To access it, viewers need to have a Prime Video subscription.

What happened in Good Boy Episode 7: A quick recap

In Episode 7 of Good Boy, titled "Par terre Par terre", Dong-ju's aunt is shot, leaving the whole team shaken. Dong-ju blames himself for all that has happened so far and lashes out in anger and punching Min Ju-young.
Min Ju-young ends up severely injured in the hospital, which also puts the team's future at risk. Later, Ju-young tries to visit Min-ja (Dong-ju's aunt) because she survived the gunshot and might remember who tried to kill her.
Dong-ju arrives on time and prevents Ju-young from seeing Min-ja. Later in the episode, the team works on finding out more about Ju-young's criminal network and digs up information about the Russian mafia, Drug Demon, who fled from the Philippines to South Korea, and the shady business Ju-young is managing.
At the same time, Dong-ju is neglecting his health despite the doctor's suspicion that his brain might be damaged during his boxing career. Not only this, Dng-ju even took a beating from Oh Jong-gu so that Ju-young doesn't harm his team.
At the end of the episode, Han-na encourages Dong-ju to keep fighting and not disappear again. Her words reignite the flames inside him, and Episode 7 ends with a heartfelt kiss between the two.
What to expect from Good Boy Episode 8?
As seen in the preview of Good Boy Episode 8, Dong-ju returns to his team as they need to prove Min Ju-young guilty. The team of misfits will find out about the drugs or possible gold being held at customs, which could finally give them a clue about what exactly Ju-young is doing.
The Russian mafia is also seen yelling at Ju-young, asking him why he let Dong-ju live. The preview also features Jong-hyun inviting Dong-ju to stay at his house. Additionally, things might change between the criminals, as Drug Demon was the one who helped Dong-ju's aunt when she was shot.
