"Think about SpaceX and neuroscience that he's done, robotics. All of this is American technology. And does Trump really want not to have that in his portfolio? They've got to work this thing out. But really, it's about two men that don't agree on how to spend money."

"Because Musk doesn't want to spend a $2 trillion deficit. And Trump does. And I understand both sides. These two have to kiss and make up for the benefit of America."

While on CNN's discussion panel, the Shark Tank mentor discussed the "noise" and how the relationship between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has been quite complicated. When asked about the "noise," Kevin O'Leary responded that he meant "differences of opinion."

He recalled when Elon Musk arrived with DOGE and how the first 100 days were remarkable. He said that everything related to "saving money" was a good idea, regardless of which party was associated with it.

"It's all noise because really, there's a difference of opinion here. Remember, Elon Musk mandate when he came in was DOGE, which is in a remarkable 100 days, become a brand in America. It's indoctrinated every citizen, regardless of party. The idea of auditing government and perpetuity, and saving money, is a good one."

Furthermore, the Shark Tank mentor stated that since Elon Musk and Donald Trump began collaborating, it was a "good thing" and that taxpayers approved of it. However, regarding drug use and a few other matters, Kevin O'Leary stated that it was a matter of differing opinions between the two.

Shark Tank mentor also recalled how the primary goal for inviting Elon Musk was to save $2 trillion:

"Musk was brought in to save $2 trillion. Let's not forget that in all this noise. He didn't get anywhere near there. He was frustrated as an entrepreneur. He had 100 days, 130 days to do it. And Trump wants to get this bill done. I understand that too. And this bill does not reduce the deficit."

Kevin mentioned how, before and during Trump's first term, there was a deficit of under one trillion dollars. As of now, it has reached $2 trillion. Referring to the current administration and the previous, Biden administration, he said that it "frustrated" Elon Musk.

Further in his discussion, O'Leary Ventures chairman pointed out how both of them, Trump and Musk, were important to each other, and two of the richest men on earth. He also talked about SpaceX, neuroscience, and more.
