Episode 10 of Head Over Heels reveals that Bong-su was working with Yeom Hwa all along, and he's now comfortably living inside Gyeon-woo’s body. But things get messy as Yeom Hwa steals magical items and continues her hunt for the silver ring. While Bong-su tries to figure out her intentions, General Dongcheon starts keeping a close watch on her.

Meanwhile, Bong-su begins showing signs that he may want to live a normal life. General Dongcheon gets involved and warns Seong-ah that if she wants to save Gyeon-woo, she must protect Bong-su, who is starting to show emotions like love and regret. Seong-ah starts treating Bong-su more kindly, even though she’s annoyed by his behavior.

Even Ji-ho, who wants him gone, softens up after hearing his emotional backstory. Bong-su wins over others at school too, stepping in to help with a bully and earning unexpected praise. But Seong-ah feels torn when Bong-su gets all the attention, while no one knows that Gyeon-woo’s real soul is trapped. Thankfully, Flower Master helps her speak to Gyeon-woo during the Hour of the Ox.

She sends him into Bong-su’s memories to learn more and help heal his soul, but he’s attacked by Bong-su’s fellow soldiers, showing how deep Bong-su’s trauma runs. Meanwhile, Yeom Hwa is still pushing forward with her dark plans. Things heat up when Bong-su confesses his feelings in front of the class, and Ji-ho catches him with Yeom Hwa.

She manipulates him again, and Bong-su, in emotional turmoil, finally remembers the friend he lost during the war, Yoon-bo, and the guilt over failing to deliver his ring. When he buries the ring, he decides he won’t leave Gyeon-woo’s body.

In a twist-filled finale, Yeom Hwa is ambushed and captured, but she soon steals a ghost baby’s doll and manipulates Ji-ho into giving her the silver ring. She uses it to summon the Grim Reaper, which nearly kills Bong-su.

But Bong-su turns the tables in the final moments of Head Over Heels by summoning the Grim Reaper himself to destroy Yeom Hwa. The episode ends tragically as General Dongcheon sacrifices her life, revealing she was Yeom Hwa’s protective amulet all along.
