With every new episode, the latest K-drama Head Over Heels keeps building excitement among fans. Not just because of the unique plot it offers, but also how well the actors have brought the characters to life.
At the heart of the K-drama is Park Seong-ah, played by All of Us Are Dead actress Cho Yi-hyun. She wishes to live a normal life and get admitted into a college, but Seong-ah is also a shaman since childhood, now known as Fairy Cheonji.
She has been blessed with the ability to see ghosts and help spirits cross over, which she uses to help troubled people. She's now trying to save her first love, Gyeon-u, who's a new student at her school and cursed to die within 21 days.
However, Seong-ah and Gyeon-u aren't the only main characters in Head Over Heels, as Pyo Ji-ho, Seong-ah's best friend, is also winning hearts. Played by Cha Kang-yoon, Ji-ho is not just a classmate but also the closest friend to Gyeon-u and Seong-ah.
One of the biggest things about Ji-ho is that he knows Seong-a’s secret identity. He helps her keep her double life a secret, even from Gyeon-u, until he finds it out by himself. Even though he’s not the one with magical powers, Ji-ho becomes the human amulet of Gyeon-u.
Why? Because he can’t bear to see Seong-ah struggling in her efforts to protect Gyeon-u. As the drama reveals, Ji-ho has a crush on her, and it might soon blossom into something more.

Who is Ji-ho in Head Over Heels? Character details explored
As mentioned above, Py Ji-ho is Seong-ah's best friend and schoolmate in Head Over Heels. Before Gyeon-u stepped into their lives, it was only Ji-ho who knew that Seong-ah is the famous Fairy Cheonji, leading two lives.
He's introduced in the very first episode of the K-drama, where he's seen helping Seong-ah slip into the school without anyone noticing them. He’s been with her from day one at school, quietly teaching her how to interact and deal with tough students.
However, one thing fans might be curious about when it comes to Ji-ho in Head Over Heels is whether he’s actually in love with Seong-ah. Since he's an adorable character with a pure heart, no one would want to see him get hurt.
The truth is, Ji-ho really does have a crush on Seong-ah. In Episode 5, he tells Gyeon-u directly that he likes her, and it’s clear those feelings could grow stronger. If that happens, he might have to "play dirty", but not in a way that hurts her.
But despite what he said, Ji-ho isn’t a bad guy, and he’s definitely not against Gyeon-u, the one Seong-ah actually has feelings for. In fact, Ji-ho was the one who urged Seong-ah to become Gyeon-u’s human amulet again when her powers suddenly stopped working.
