Hell Motel cast: Hell Motel cast and character guide: Who plays whom in the AMC+ slasher horror series

AMC+’s latest slasher horror, Hell Motel, has gained new attention due to its horror elements, which will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seats. The horror series premiered on June 17, 2025.

The synopsis of Hell Motel, as per IMDb, reads as:

"10 true crime obsessives invited to the opening weekend of the newly renovated Cold River Motel, the site of a 30-year-old unsolved Satanic Mass Murder. History repeats itself when the guests start getting knocked off one by one."

As suggested by the synopsis, the series does not shy away from the gruesome and brutal murders that are the highlight of the slasher genre. It also remains stylish, with the cast giving standout performances.

1) Paula Brancati as Paige Harper

The Canadian actress is better known for her role as Jane Vaughn in Degrassi: The Next Generation, which focuses on the lives of teenagers and their struggles. Aside from that, she has also appeared in Dark Oracle and Slasher.

In Hell Motel, Paula plays Paige Harper, who is one of the guests invited to the opening weekend of the Cold River Motel. Other than that, Paige used to be a popular actress in the series as she worked in several films that were based on the tragedy that had happened in the motel 30 years ago.

2) Jim Watson as Andy Lecavalier

Jim Watson’s character is one of the mysterious ones in Hell Motel, as not much about his history or past is known. A writer and a professor, Andy is also a true crime academic, but some guests assume that he has never seen death up close, due to his reaction to whatever’s happening in the Motel.

Other than Hell Motel, Watson is also known for appearing in Transplant, Hudson & Rex, Murdoch Mysteries, and Slasher, among others.

3) Genevieve DeGraves as Adrianna

Known for appearing in Jupiter’s Legacy and horror series such as Slasher and Chapelwaite, which also stars Adrien Brody, Genevieve has become a popular name in the industry.

In Hell Motel, Genevieve appears as Adrianna, a notorious personality who doesn’t shy away from revealing that she has been intimate with only serial killers. She is also an aspiring actress, due to which a subtle animosity can be seen between her character and Brancati’s Paige.

4) Yanna McIntosh as Shirley Dantree

Known for her role as Doris in Beyond Black Beauty, Yanna is one of the popular Jamaican-Canadian actresses who have appeared in several films and TV shows.

In Hell Motel, she plays Shirley Dantree, one of the two Satanists who were responsible for the tragic deaths of people in Cold River Motel, years ago, and after not being caught for their crimes, they come back when the motel reopens to finish their ritual and sacrifice more people.

5) Gray Powell as Floyd Dantree

Powell plays Floyd Dantree in Hell Motel, husband of Yanna’s Shirley and her partner in crime, who had murdered eight people 30 years ago and has now returned to the same place for their satanic ritual, which will hamper the lives of many again.

Other than Hell Motel, Powell can also be seen in The End of Sex, Sort Of, and in the 2016 sci-fi film ARQ.

6) Shaun Benson as Crow

The Canadian actor and director has been seen in numerous popular projects, such as General Hospital, where he played the character of Dr. Steven Webber. Later, he also appeared in a film called K-19: The Widowmaker, which stars Harrison Ford. For TV shows, Benson appears in Netflix’s Tiny Pretty Things.

In this latest slasher series, Benson plays Crow, a spiritualist. He doesn't do much to help save the lives in the Cold River Motel, just like 30 years ago when he was convinced the murders were done by someone else, rather than Floyd and Shirley.

7) Atticus Mitchell as Blake

Another true crime-obsessed guest in Hell Motel is Atticus Mitchell’s Blake. Blake, a popular podcaster, is a troubled character, having survived a brutal killer in the past, and is aggressive when it comes to finding the killer among them in the Cold River Motel.

Other than Hell Motel, Mitchell also appeared in Law & Order Criminal Intent: Toronto, My Babysitter's a Vampire, and films such as Lune and The Colony.

8) Emmanuel Kabongo as Kawayan

The Canadian Screen Award-nominated actor and producer, Emmanuel Kabongo, has appeared in many popular TV shows such as Teenagers, Star Trek: Discovery, Outer Banks, 21 Thunder, and Quantico, among others.

In this series, Kabongo appears as Kawayan, a sculptor, whose art is mostly inspired by themes of murder and true crime. He is also one of the guests invited for the opening weekend. His obsession with creating art that mirrors the murders even makes him a suspect of being the Baphomet killer.

9) Brynn Godenir as Ruby

After appearing in Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, and Titans, Godenir’s new role is of Ruby in Hell Motel, the main force behind the renovation and reopening of the Cold River Motel, where a tragedy took place 30 years ago.

Every room in the motel follows the theme of how different people were killed 30 years ago.

10) Michelle Nolden as Portia

Known for her appearance in TV shows, such as Tiny Pretty Things, The Wedding Planners, and Numbers, Nolden can also be seen in films such as Haunter and A Christmas Horror Story.

In Hell Motel, Nolden plays Portia, Ruby’s partner and co-owner of the motel.
