Here's why I think Gabby Samone and Mattie Pruitt didn't make it to the American Idol Season 23 Top 5

With American Idol Season 23 moving towards the show's finale, viewers recently witnessed the Top 5 artist selection. While Slater Nalley, Breanna Nix, John Foster, Jamal Roberts, and Thunderstorm Artis made it to the Top 5, Gabby Samone and Mattie Pruitt were eliminated.

Witnessing the two female artists receive a strong reaction from the fans. Especially the viewers who have been voting for Gabby and Mattie to make it to the Top 3. As the show has now reached an even more intense and fierce competition, there can be a number of reasons behind the elimination.

They reached the Top 7, which states that they were talented artists, which is why they have made it this far. However, this week, after Mattie and Gabby received comparatively fewer votes, the two were eliminated. The two delivered impressive performances throughout their journey on the show.

With American Idol Season 23 nearing its current season's end, the competition is getting even more serious. Fan favorite artists' elimination has been quite an emotional roller coaster, not just for the participants, but also for the fans and the judges. I think, with their fellow contestants receiving more votes, Gabby and Mattie were the bottom participants in the latest episode.

Fans must remember, even though the artists who do not end up winning the competition, they most certainly have gotten wider exposure while they have been on the show. Having such an opportunity to advance to this level in a renowned singing competition has already put them on the map.
