High Potential Season 2 premiered in September 2025 and has presented several complicated cases that only Morgan's mind could solve. The new episodes also featured numerous guest stars, which will continue in Tuesday's episode, on October 14, 2025, where Bill Nye, known as 'The Science Guy', will appear.
Nye, who has also appeared in The Big Bang Theory, will now add another popular show to his filmography with High Potential Season 2, where he will show more of his scientific acumen and help Morgan solve another case.

High Potential Season 2: The Big Bang Theory's Bill Nye to appear as a guest star on the show
Episode 5 of High Potential Season 2, titled Content Warning, is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Variety reported that Bill Nye will appear as a guest star on the latest episode of High Potential Season 2.
The blue lab coat-wearing Science Guy will not be a victim or a perpetrator but will appear as himself and in Morgan's vision. With the help of his extensive knowledge, he will try to help Morgan in this week's tricky case. As the title suggests, the upcoming case will revolve around social media and influencer content.
However, to what extent the TBBT star will help Morgan is not revealed yet. But Nye's role in helping Morgan would surely be crucial to solving the case. Other than the tricky case, the episode will also see Morgan's rebellious daughter, Ava, trying to find more information on her father, Roman's disappearance.
Other than Bill Nye, the episode also stars Kaitlin Olson, Daniel Sunjata, Steve Howey, Amirah J, Javicia Leslie, Matthew Lamb, Deniz Akdeniz, and Judy Reyes, among others. New episodes of the popular series drop every Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Hulu, a day later.
When did Bill Nye appear in The Big Bang Theory? Details explored
While Bill Nye might be becoming a part of another fan-favorite show after his appearance in the latest episode of High Potential Season 2, the television presenter and science communicator was previously seen in The Big Bang Theory, another fan-favorite show.
He has not one but two guest star appearances as himself in the cult classic series. His first appearance was in 2013, in Episode 7 titled, The Proton Displacement, of Season 7. In the episode, Sheldon feels jealous as his favorite TV Scientist, Professor Proton, asks Leonard to review his paper and not him. After annoying him further, instead of apologizing, Sheldon brings Bill Nye, 'The Science Guy', and introduces him as his friend. This was his attempt at replacing Professor Proton.
Nye's next appearance was in 2018, in the premiere episode of the 12th and final season of The Big Bang Theory. In the episode titled The Conjugal Configuration, Nye is called by another popular science communicator, Neil deGrasse Tyson.
