High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 recap: The spooky Spencer House
Morgan and team realize how the killer smartly chose the Spencer House for the murder, as Danny was obsessed with it. High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 became even more spooky when Daphne shared some ghost stories about the Spencer house, which was originally inherited by Maddie St. Croix and Dash Spencer, a celebrity couple in the 1940s. However, after Maddie learned about her husband's infidelity, she took her life and Dash mysteriously fell from the balcony and died on Halloween of the same year. Since then, it is believed that Maddie's spirit is out for every man's blood.
The myth of Maddie's ghost becomes even more spooky when the teenagers (who saw the murder) help a sketch artist to draw a portrait that matches Maddie's pictures from the past.
Danny's obsession with the spooky house in High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 led Morgan and Karadec to his spiritual cleanser, named Calliope. She reveals how Danny was having problems in his life due to his ongoing divorce. Morgan deduces that Calliope is a fraud who was using Danny for money.
High Potential Season 2 Episode 6: The truth about the ghostly figure unravels
Since Calliope was a dead end, Morgan and Karadec's investigation shifts to the Spencer House's basement in High Potential Season 2 Episode 6. While Karadec was searching the basement, he found a white, flowy figure and a bag in the air vent. The ghostly spirit turns out to be a girl named Shauna Khurmi, a CalArts graduate who was haunting the Spencer house to use its resources.
A quick meeting with Danny's wife, Lorraine, revealed that she was the one who hired Shauna to stage a haunting of the Spenser House. She wanted Danny to give up the house as it would be inherited by Lorraine's stepdaughter, Paloma.
Elsewhere, Danny's autopsy report reveals that he died due to a potassium-chloride overdose, inducing a heart attack.
High Potential Season 2 Episode 6: Who killed Danny?
A careful look at the Spencer House photos reveals that the house is harbouring a secret room with remnants of Maddie's clothes and her old life. Among them, Morgan and Karadec also find a diamond necklace worth 317 carats, purchased by Dash as an apology to his wife. It becomes crystal clear that the killer was after the necklace and used Danny as bait. Morgan claims that she has found the killer but they need to lay a trap to catch them red-handed.
In the final moments of High Potential Season 2 Episode 6, the killer returns to the Spencer house to get the necklace, who is none other than Danny's spiritual guide, Calliope. Morgan deduced the killer from the scent of the essential oil used by Calliope, but she wanted to catch her in the act. She also revealed that Calliope used Danny's obsession with the house and switched his pills to poison him.
The final moments see Ava and Morgan looking at Roman's old stuff when they find a picture that Roman drew during Ava’s first-grade recital, suggesting that he was present at the event.
