His & Hers is a master of deception. It puts equal importance on mystery and relationships. The story is about Anna Andrews. She is a journalist who left her hometown after the death of her daughter. Jack Harper is the husband who's a detective. The couple is separated, but a murder makes them confront each other after a long time.
His & Hers makes for a fun watch, not only because it's about finding a killer. It's not a typical whodunit. It is about trust and trauma. It's about how you may let go of the past, but the past will never let go of you. Anna carries old wounds from her teenage years. Jack carries secrets of his own. Their history bleeds into the investigation. And that makes the show even more personal.
His & Hers makes you question everything. Was it revenge from someone bullied? Was it Jack hiding a violent side? Was it Anna losing control? The show lets you play detective from your couch. But just when you feel confident in your theory, it pulls the rug out from under you.
His & Hers: Who really killed Rachel and Helen?

In His & Hers, Rachel is the first domino to fall. She is part of Anna’s old school circle. In fact, she is the leader of the girl gang that bullied Catherine Kelly. She turns up dead in the woods. The reveal in the finale confirms that the person who killed Rachel was not an obvious suspect. It was Alice Andrews, Anna’s mother.
Her confession makes it clear that Rachel was the first target in her revenge plan that had been simmering for years. The show ties this murder directly to Alice discovering painful truths about what happened to her daughter as a teenager on her 16th birthday. The whole idea was to punish the people she believed were responsible.
Helen follows the same dark path. She is also named in Alice’s confession as one of the women she murdered. Helen was part of the same school circle. Alice does not kill at random. She is driven by a warped sense of maternal protection. In her mind, she is delivering justice that the world never offered her daughter.
The show spends most of its runtime nudging suspicion toward Catherine Kelly, also known as Lexy Jones. She was bullied by Rachel and Helen. Evidence is planted at her home. And even the characters inside the story accept her as the likely killer. But just when we think justice has been served, the show changes everything with only one scene.
His & Hers reveals that Catherine was framed and that Alice was the real murderer all along. Alice killed Rachel and Helen. Then, planted evidence to make sure the blame landed on the easiest scapegoat. The world is harsh on Catherine even as the show ends. She dies carrying crimes she never committed.
