Homeland Season 2 Episode 4 recap revisited: Saul Berenson shows David Estes Brody's tape

The episode of Homeland opens with Saul showing David Brody's tape. In the video, Brody is seen saying:

"My name is Nicolas Brody, and I'm a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. I have a wife and two kids who I love."

The video ends with Brody explaining that he wants to tell the truth himself. Saul tells David not to share the details with Walden.

On the other side, Brody goes to Jessica to apologize. However, she says that it's difficult for her to live like this, demanding an explanation. Brody doesn't give her any explanation, leaving the room quietly, which leaves Jessica stunned.

The CIA then starts keeping a constant eye on Brody, bringing Carrie back and adding Peter Quinn to help track his moves.

In Homeland Season 2 Episode 4, Quinn reveals that his team is tapping Brody's phone and is also keeping an eye on him through surveillance cameras. Quinn adds that he wants Carrie to meet Brody as a part of the plan.

Carrie bumps into Brody

As planned, Carrie bumps into Brody, greeting him. Brody soon recognizes her, and the two start to talk, with Carrie telling him that his advice of getting help saved her. They end the chat with a friendly handshake and part on a good note.

After Carrie comes back to the investigation site, the team continues keeping an eye on him and his moves. Brody, after meeting Carrie, comes to know that Carrie is in the CIA. While he has guesses that she is behind him, he also has second thoughts that she could be behind Nazir.

On the other side, Quinn keeps asking Carrie about Brody and what kind of relationship they shared. Meanwhile, Brody calls Carrie to invite her for a drink at a hotel.

The two later share a drink, with Brody telling Carrie about how his wife is upset. During the talks, Brody keeps pushing Carrie indirectly to tell her about her work, with Carrie deflecting the question, not revealing the complete details.

Brody says sorry to Carrie and talks about ECT, which puts her in a bad mood. Then he leaves her alone and goes to his room. On the other side, Carrie calls Quinn and tells him that he knows about her, after which Quinn asks her to come back.

Carrie, not listening to Quinn, decides to go to Brody's room, revealing the secrets about him, which leaves Brody in shock. Just when Brody tells Carrie that he liked her, police enter the room and arrest him.

Mike visits Jessica's home after Lauder comes uninvited

While Brody is away for his work, Lauder comes home uninvited while looking for Brody. Though Jessica calls Brody, she is not able to reach him, after which she asks Mike for help. While Jessica and Brody talk on the call, the CIA listens to their recording without them knowing, coming to know that he might be living in the hotel.

While Mike tries to take Lauder away, Lauder reveals that Brody might know something about Walker's death that he is not telling. Mike later talks to Lauden about Brody and tries to find more details about him.

At the end of Homeland Season 2 Episode 4, Brody is taken away by the police.
