Ever since House of David Season 2 was announced by Prime Video, fans have been excited for the series’ return. The Biblical historical drama tells the story of the rise of the titular king.

Set in 1000 BC Israel, the show chronicles David’s journey from a shepherd to a revered king. The project is known for its respectful portrayal of Biblical events, which has earned it a huge following across the globe.

House of David Season 2 premiered on October 5, 2025. However, not all episodes of the season were released together, and it is instead going to follow a weekly roster. Here is all you need to know about the show’s release schedule.


House of David Season 2 release schedule

House of David Season 2 premiered on Wonder Project on October 5, 2025. The first two of the eight episodes were released at the same time as part of the premiere. The rest of the six episodes are going to be dropped weekly on subsequent Sundays. The complete release schedule is given below:

All episodes will be coming out at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET. However, Prime Video subscribers would not be able to watch the season right away. Instead, the episodes are being made available on the above dates only for Wonder Project subscribers.

Wonder Project is a new streaming service available on Prime Video, which promises family-friendly content. The platform can be accessed with a subscription costing $8.99 per month. On the other hand, regular Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch House of David Season 2 on a later date, which has not been announced yet.

The new season continues the journey of David after his battle with Goliath. He is now going to sit on the throne, but will have to face politics and jealousy from the people close to him. The official synopsis of the season reads:

“[Season 2] follows the aftermath of the battle between David and Goliath and David's rise to the throne. As he navigates palace politics, his family’s jealousy, and a growing romance, David steps deeper into his destiny and learns what it means to become a great leader.”

Created by Jon Erwin, the show stars Michael Iskander as David, Indy Lewis as Michal, Oded Fehr as Abner, Ali Suliman as Saul, Ethan Kai as Jonathan, Yali Topol Margalith as Mirab, Ayelet Zurer as Ahinoam, Davood Ghadami as Eliab, and Aury Alby as Joab.

The rest of the cast includes Stephen Lang as Samuel, Sam Otto as Eshbaal, Louis Ferreira as Jesse, Ashraf Barhom as Doeg, and Alexander Uloom as Achish.
