A new Instagram post of 9-1-1 star Oliver Stark has quickly gained the attention of fans of the procedural drama series. Stark shared a photo with 9-1-1: Nashville stars Jessica Capshaw, Hunter McVey, Hailey Kilgore, Juani Feliz, and Michael Provost.
The post has sparked more attention toward the fact that a crossover between 9-1-1 and its spinoff series might just be in the corner with the premiere of Nashville set on October 9, 2025. While there hasn't been a confirmation about a crossover event yet, the series is not new to the idea, as they have had crossovers with other Ryan Murphy-created TV shows as well, such as Lone Star and Doctor Odyssey.

9-1-1 star Oliver Stark teases crossover with latest spin-off series
The procedural drama series 9-1-1 revolves around the lives and challenges faced by first responders of Los Angeles on their professional and personal fronts. The series stars Angela Bassett as Anthena Grant, LAPD's Patrol sergeant, among many other stars that have become fan-favorites.
Oliver Stark, who plays Buck in the original series, recently posted a photo of himself with actors from the new spinoff series, which might be the latest evidence that suggests that a crossover event between the two shows might be happening with Nashville's premiere on Thursday. In the Instagram story, Stark tagged all the actors with a caption that reads:
"Make sure you check out the premiere episode of @911nashville this coming thrusday after @911onabc!!"
As per TV Insider, the Nashville actors reshared the photo from their accounts, with Hunter McVey resharing it with a caption that read:
"Come back soon brotha 🙏."
However, this is not the first time Stark has teased and fueled rumors about a crossover event, as in another post, Stark is seen taking a tour of the Nashville set and meeting the cast members who introduced their characters. The rumors have been rife since August, as Stark had also shared a post on August 3 where he was seen enjoying his time in Nashville.
Although there is no confirmed news about the procedural show crossing over in its latest spinoff series, fans are hopeful, as crossover events in the 9-1-1 franchise have previously been seen and loved by the viewers.
Furthermore, Stark, in a ScreenRant interview from April 2025, also shared that he would love to see his character in the new spinoff series, and also joked about Chris O'Donnell, who will play the character of Captain Don Sharpe, being Buck's cousin. He said:
"I feel like Buck would have a lot of fun in Nashville. I saw they cast Chris O'Donnell, could be Buck's cousin. I'm putting that out there. I could pay a visit to him in Nashville and find myself stumbling down Broadway."
