After its premiere on network television, Episode 4 will later be available to stream on Hulu. What happened in Episode 3 of Murder in a Small Town Season 2?

In Episode 3 of Murder in a Small Town Season 2, Karl investigates the shocking murder of Maria Bannister. Initially, the suspicion turns to Maria's estranged family, her ex-husband Richard, and their daughter Belinda. After interrogating Richard, Karl learns that Maria abandoned them five years ago due to an affair.

Later, by investigating further, he gets in contact with Maria's friend and the car owner, Callie Jarvis, who lent her car to Maria to come to Gibsons. Jarvis reveals to Karl that Maria was there to meet her biological father, who happens to be Captain Darcy Stewart, and also had a half-sibling named Harry Stewart.

Elsewhere, Holly entangles herself with the Town's myth about a 'creeper' who visits Lauren Park's grave and gets hold of their car's number plate. Furthermore, Cassandra also leans more into her councilwoman duties and calms Todd, who pulled out a knife on a bunch of teenagers who were bugging him.

Through Todd and Maria's necklace that he picked up from the road, Karl learns that there was one more car that was following Maria. With the car identified as Harry's and discovering his financial status, Karl finds Harry has the perfect motive to kill Maria for the family property.

He further deduces that Belinda would be his next victim and rushes to save her. After saving her from Harry, the police later arrest the latter, and solve another murder case in the town of Gibsons.
