In Peacemaker season 2, Peacemaker's loyal pet Eagly shows utmost heroism by attacking the enemies before even Chris arrives, but this has put the bird under the target of ARGUS. The organization has hired Red St. Wild as an eagle hunter, with the explicit mission to neutralize Eagly. Economos, still officially tied with ARGUS, also teams up with Wild during the raid into Chris' house.
During the raid, Red Wild is about to shoot Eagly, and that is when Economos acts decisively and knocks Wild unconscious, saving Eagly's life while also giving Chris and Eagly time to run away.

Here is how Economos saves Eagly from getting shot by Red St. Wild in Peacemaker Season 2
In Peacemaker Season 2, ARGUS is after Chris' most loyal best friend and pet, Eagly, and attempting to neutralize it. For this, they have hired a huntsman, Red St. Wild, who, along with Economos, raids Chris' house.
While Wild is just lining up to shoot the bird, Economos makes a decision and knocks him unconscious. This is how he saves Eagly's life, preventing the gunshot. He did so because, though associated with ARGUS, his loyalty lies with Peacemaker. He knew what value Eagly holds for Chris.
Economos also comes up with a lie to cover up his deed: the eagle attacked Wild and knocked him down by hitting his head on a rock. This is how Economos always proves, despite being labelled as a coward, he is someone Chris can count on.
Warning Chris about the raid, stalling ARGUS’s hacking, and finally knocking Red St. Wild out to save Eagly highlight his loyalty and subtle heroism. Though he plays the low-key tech guy, his choices end up altering the course of events tremendously, and that is where the character's charm lies.
Why does the scene matter in Peacemaker Season 2?
The scene highlights how Econmos is more than just a tech guy and is super loyal to his real hero. Economos is in a difficult position, being someone associated with ARGUS, and still helping Peacemaker in his own way.
By saving Eagly, he has proven his worth. Moreover, given that he is often considered a coward, his lie is easily accepted by Red St. Wild, giving Chris and the group time to relocate or escape.
Economos' character tone shifts with his moment of bravery, while Red Wild grows darker and more ominous by Episode 4. While performing a ritual, he cuts himself and marks himself in blood to use supernatural methods to connect with Eagly. This repositions him as a mystical threat from a goofy eagle hunter.
This makes the next step of Red Wild difficult to judge, with Peacemaker running to save his beloved friend's life in Peacemaker Season 2.
