K-drama fanatics have a new mystery thriller to obsess over. Netflix's latest South Korean thriller series, The Price of Confession, offers a gritty tale filled with murder and suspense. The story follows Ahn Yoon-soo, an art schoolteacher who is wrongfully framed for her husband Lee Ki-dae's murder. At the detention centre, Yoon-soo befriends a fellow killer, Mo-eun, who offers a deal. After the latter successfully manages to gain solitary confinement next to Yoon-soo's cell, she offers her a deal. Mo-eun agrees to confess to Ki-dae's murder on Yoon-soo's behalf in return for Ko Se-hun's murder. While Mo-eun successfully killed the dentist couple, she also planned to kill their son Se-hun, but was arrested before that. After Yoon-soo reluctantly agreed to the deal, Mo-eun confessed to Ki-dae's murder and the former is released with an ankle monitor.Once released, Yoon-soo started digging into Mo-eun's past in The Price of Confession and discovered that her sister was one of Se-hun's victims, who used to secretly capture s*x tapes of young girls and distribute them on the Internet. After Mo-eun's sister and father killed themselves because of the tape, she vowed to kill Se-hun and his parents. While Yoon-soo had promised to kill Se-hun on Mo-eun's behalf, she learns that somebody had already killed him and she is once again framed for the murder. As this unexpected connection in The Price of Confession grows stronger, the two women discover that Yeong-in and his wife Choi Su-yeon once donated an art piece to the university hosting the art show. However, when Ki-dae found out that the painting was plagiarized, he revealed this to the university's head and Yeong-in and his wife's good name was destroyed in the public eye.Yoon-soo discovers that Yeong-in and his wife were harassing Ki-dae before his murder, demanding an apology from him. The two women break into Ki-dae's studio and discover some fingerprints on one of the paintings. However, the case takes a harrowing turn in The Price of Confession, when Yeong-in reveals himself as Se-hun's killer and threatens to kill Mo-eun with a scalpel. When Ki-dae refused to apologize, Su-yeon lost her temper and stabbed Ki-dae with a carving knife.
