Call Her Alex: Trailer breakdown and more

youtube-cover

The official trailer for Hulu's Call Her Alex was released on June 3, 2025, and it provided a sneak peek of what to expect from the two-part docuseries. The trailer opens with Cooper's behind-the-stage moments as she edges towards perfection, she says,

"But the imperfections in the show will make it even more me."

We also get a sneak peek from the tour, where we see her fans cheering for her. We then see some footage from Cooper's childhood. She explains,

"I was fortunate to grow up in a household where it was normalized to speak your mind. Playing sports and making videos in the basement were the two things I really loved. By the time I got to college, it was exciting to start a new chapter of my life. I felt this enormous privilege that I was able to play Division I soccer. And then I experienced something extremely painful. It was all taken away from me."

The trailer then features how Cooper finally gains back her momentum and creates the podcast, Call Her Daddy, with the co-host Sofia Franklyn.

However, things weren't as easy as they seemed. From being vulnerable to her audience to bravely facing trolls, Cooper thrived in the once male-dominated field. She soon signed a $60 million deal with Barstool Sports and Spotify, and later a $120 million deal with SiriusXM.

In the show's premiere at the Tribeca Festival, Cooper, by the end of Part One, reveals an incident that left her soccer dreams shattered. The series showcases how Cooper received a full scholarship and went to Boston University, where she was s***ally abused by her coach, Nancy Feldman. In the Q&A round, she told the panel (via Deadline):

"I wasn't someone who had money and influence or whatever it may be. I was just another woman who experienced harassment on a level that changed my life forever and took away the thing I loved the most."

All 10 episodes of Call Her Alex will drop on June 10, 2025, on Hulu.
