Buffy Reboot, which currently has a Pilot order at Hulu, has welcomed three new cast members, namely Merrin Dungey, Audrey Hsieh, and Audrey Grace Marshall. All the actors will appear as guest stars in the Pilot and might become recurring characters if the show is ordered for a series after the premiere.
The reboot marks the first official revival of Joss Whedon's 1997 supernatural coming-of-age series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. The actress will reprise her role in the reboot and will also serve as an executive producer.
Merrin Dungey, Audrey Hsieh, and Audrey Grace Marshall will join the previously announced series regulars in Buffy Reboot, including Faly Rakotohavana, Ava Jean, Sarah Bock, Daniel Di Tomasso, and Jack Cutmore-Scott. Kingston Vernes was also added as a guest/recurring character and the lead love interest.
In addition to Geller's Buffy Summers, the original vampire slayer, actress Ryan Kiera Armstrong will make her debut as the new slayer, who will be an introverted high school girl named Nova.

Buffy Reboot adds three new faces to its cast
In Buffy Reboot, Merrin Dungey will play the character of the college counselor at New Sunnydale Academy, Ms. LaDuca. Dungey is most famously known for her roles in The Lincoln Lawyer, Shining Vale, American Horror Stories, and The Resident.
Audrey Hsieh and Audrey Grace Marshall will play two high school students, respectively, who are also part of their school's Evangelical Christian group. Hsieh has previously appeared in Found, Criminal Minds, and Medalist. Marshall is famously known for her roles in The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, The Flight Attendant, and Echo Valley.
The Buffy Reboot Pilot is directed by Academy Award winner Chloé Zhao, with a script written by Nora and Lilla Zuckerman.
In addition to the three new faces, Gellar's I Know What You Did Last Summer co-star Chase Sui Wonders will also appear in a one-off guest role in the Buffy Reboot Pilot. She will play the role of Shirley and has filmed her part in LA.
In an interview with Deadline, Wonders discussed her experience of working with Gellar again:
“Sarah Michelle Geller is just such a force to be reckoned with...“It’s the dream to bring back a show like this, to have someone who was there day in and day out and through the origin of the series, be the consultant. She’s the onset consultant for all kinds of things of like, how do you react to these types of vampires, or how does someone react to a bite, and all the lore she’s got stored in her brain. So, it’s very helpful.”
The reboot will follow Nova, a new vampire slayer, who will be trained by Gellar's Buffy Summers. Hulu has not announced a release date for the Pilot as of yet.
