I absolutely hate how LightWire's performance overshadowed the rest of the acts on America's Got Talent Season 20 Premiere

Recently premiered America's Got Talent Season 20 featured many amazing performances. Two performances received Golden Buzzers, while multiple acts also received 4 yeses from all four judges. There were many noteworthy acts that advanced to the show's next phase.

Among all the participants and their performances, the acts that caught the most attention were the Golden Buzzer performances. There were two of them. First, LightWire, a multimedia dance, and second, a solo performance by singer Jourdan Blue.

However, LightWire's performance, which involved many artists in various segments of the act, became the highlight and most talked-about performance of the show's premiere. Undoubtedly, the act was visually stunning and absolutely noteworthy; it seemed to have all the attention to itself, which felt as if it overshadowed the rest of the talented acts.

America's Got Talent Season 20: With a Golden Buzzer, LightWire overshadowed all the other acts from the premiere

America's Got Talent Season 20 Premiere featured many incredible performances. With the judges' votes, a few advanced to the show's next phase. Viewers witnessed acts of talent, including a contortionist, a musical duo, a math prodigy, multimedia dance, a singing performance, and more.

Despite two performances getting a Golden Buzzer, LightWire somehow became the act that caught all the attention. The Brazilian Art Troupe delivered a mesmerizing performance with a combination of talented artists, lighting, and their sync.

For that, judges praised the artists and the entire team that was behind the act. They also got a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell. But the performance seemed as if it received way more attention, so that it overshadowed the rest of the acts. Many other performers were featured on the show's premiere.

Witnessing how LightWire got all the attention and how things turned out, it might have been unfair to the rest of the acts.

There was a contortionist, Amadou Diallo, who also got four yeses and advanced to America's Got Talent Season 20's next phase. Other notable performances included those of Cole & Judy Swensen, Baby Dev, and Jourdan Blue (who also received a Golden Buzzer); however, it was LightWire that garnered more attention than any other act.

While the Swensens delivered a heartfelt duet, Jourdan's solo performance caught everyone's heart. There were a few other performances as well that truly were amazing and received loud cheers from the audience and appreciation from the judges.

Witnessing such a moment, which comes off as unfair to the rest of the acts, doesn't justify the fame individuals receive. Yes, LightWire stunned everyone with their performance, but focusing more on other acts is also necessary, and so is cheering for other performers.

Everyone who gets on such a renowned stage has something amazing to offer. With so many brilliant performances and acts featured on America's Got Talent Season 20, they seemed as if LightWire's appreciation overshadowed them.

Many acts were worth exploring more and focusing on. It might have been a combination of some factors, including the show's editing, that focused more on LightWire compared to other acts from the premiere night.
