It's been a while since fans last saw South Korean A-lister Lee Min Ho taking down bad guys and diving into full-on action. But the wait is finally over as he's back, and this time, Min Ho's teaming up with fan-favorite stars for an upcoming fantasy film.

Titled Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy (also known as Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint), the story follows Kim Dok‑Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), the sole person who finished reading a fantasy novel called Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World.

Suddenly, his real world transforms into the novel’s brutal universe, and only his knowledge can help people survive. This is when he comes up with a mission: save the world by teaming up with the novel’s hero, Yoo Joong Hyuk, played by Lee Min Ho.

This way, these brave individuals set out on a dangerous journey to change the doomed fate they’re all trapped in. Since the film is based on a popular webtoon, the makers and cast had to give their best shot.

While talking about the same, Lee Min Ho said:

"I spent a lot of time thinking about the loneliness of a man who survives alone in an immortal life."

The Boys Over Flowers star continued:

"Because the character is constantly fighting, I also put a lot of effort into preparing for the action scenes."

The actor explained that Joong Hyuk isn't just another fantasy action role. The fantasy film required careful emotional and physical preparation.

Lee Min Ho's upcoming film, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, is where all beloved actors, including BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Business Proposal heartthrob Ahn Hyo-seop, and When the Phone Rings actress Chae Soo-bin, unite to save the world.

Interestingly, the film isn't just about action scenes; it also introduces the idea of immortality and what it means to survive alone across endless lifetimes. And this is what Min-ho kept in mind while portraying Joong-hyuk, as he's a kind of man who faces deep emotional struggles.

The actor said:

"I had to show this universe through Yoo Joong Hyuk, and I felt that if it didn’t feel real, the process of Dok Ja entering this worldview and overcoming the crisis wouldn’t be convincing."

Min Ho continued:

"I spent a lot of time thinking about how to make everything feel real, whether it was the action, my eyes, or facial expressions, without overdoing it."

The Heirs star spent a notable amount of time exploring the internal pain of his character. Since the character is constantly in survival mode and frequently engaged in intense fights, the actor also focused heavily on physical training.

He made sure his action scenes were not just flashy, but believable, true to the character’s world. Lee Min Ho also mentioned how important it was to make the fantasy world feel authentic.

Since his character is one of the first people we meet in the story’s alternate universe, he felt a strong responsibility to portray that world convincingly. If Yoo Joong Hyuk didn’t feel real to the audience, then the emotional journey of Kim Dok Ja (played by Ahn Hyo Seop), who later enters this universe, wouldn’t feel believable either.
