I can't believe Love Island USA's Jeremiah got to play the victim — while Huda became the villain

Love Island USA Season 7 saw Huda and Jeremiah together as a couple since the first day. After they were coupled up, they couldn't stop stating how they "won the lottery" with each other.

At first, they seemed to be one of the stronger couples, but soon, the truth started to come out. After Huda revealed that she was a mom, and when Jeremiah talked about her "mommy mode," it seemed they were not-so-compatible as they might have thought.

Soon, smaller issues became a part of a larger argument, which somehow painted Huda as the villain. However, Jeremiah, who has also been there, each step of the way, turned out to be playing the victim card quite openly.

Love Island USA Season 7: Who is the real villain - Huda or Jeremiah?

After coupling up with each other, Jeremiah and Huda seemed like a perfect couple, initially. But as the time passed, by day 7-8, fans witnessed cracks in their relationship. It might have started when Huda revealed that she was a mom, and later, when she complained about the undercooked pancakes, he called her to be in "mommy mode." It was clearly an indication of their incompatibility, which no one paid attention to.

Furthermore, when Love Island USA introduced new bombshells, including Amaya, Iris, and Hannah, the connection between Jeremiah and Huda was no longer the same. After the twist in recoupling resulted in Jeremiah being paired with Iris, things almost ended between Huda and Jeremiah.

Viewers witnessed Jeremiah's apology to Huda in episode 13, which didn't seem so genuine, but more like damage control. However, his apology didn't stop Huda from getting emotional and opening up about how Jeremiah made her feel. While she confronted him about his actions, he seemed to be calm and composed, which says a lot.

Things went explosive in episode 14, during the recoupling ceremony. Jeremiah had the choice, and he chose Iris instead of Huda. It resulted in Huda being single. Later, when she was on the edge of getting eliminated, Jeremiah voted against her. But with the majority of Islanders voting in Huda's favor, she was safe.

Being hurt and blindsided by Jeremiah, Huda was right to go down the emotional spiral. At the same time, Jeremiah used it as an opportunity to play the victim while staying composed. That somehow portrayed him as the victim, while Huda's image became somewhat villainous.

Love Island USA star Huda getting emotional and feeling vulnerable was shown as her being "toxic." That was also Jeremiah's narrative, which was picked up from the show.

As for the viewers, everyone seems to be divided between the two. While some fans believe Huda was sad, emotional, and deserving of empathy, others considered her to be toxic and manipulative.

However, witnessing how Love Island USA star Jeremiah pushed Huda away when she needed him the most and blindsided her made her even more vulnerable. Later, he tried to do damage control by showing his apology, which made Huda a villain, because he apologized.
