"I didn't expect to enjoy": Celebrity IOU's Josh Gad shares his experience working with Jonathan and Drew Scott

HGTV aired Celebrity IOU Season 10 Episode 3 on July 23, 2025. The latest episode featured Property Brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott, along with celebrity guest Josh Gad.

The third episode of the reality show, titled Does Josh Gad Want to Build a Studio? saw Josh Gad surprise his college BFF with a studio. Along with that, he also wanted an entertainment space set up in the backyard. For that, he partnered up with Drew and Jonathan.

While operating one of the machines, Josh enjoyed it very much. Sharing how he felt while the Property Brothers "put him" to work, Josh confessed to the cameras:

"I did expect the brothers to put me to work today. But I didn't expect to enjoy the work as much as I did. I sort of wanna get one as, like, a second automated."

Celebrity IOU Season 10 Episode 3: Josh Gad enjoys working with Property Brothers while setting up the space for his college BFF

The recently released Celebrity IOU Season 10 Episode 3 saw Josh Gad calling Jonathan and Drew, the Property Brothers, for a special project. It was a studio renovation for a dear friend of his, Delia.

He wanted to turn the backyard into a studio and gift it to Delia. Celebrating his friendship with Delia for over 18 years, he wanted to give her something that suits her personality and style.

The official synopsis for the latest Celebrity IOU Season 10 Episode 3 reads:

"Josh Gad is surprising his college BFF with a refreshed studio and backyard entertainment space for hosting friends and family; Josh calls on Drew and Jonathan to create a space that inspires creativity and invites community."

Sharing more about his friend Delia, Josh said:

"She never asks for more than she needs. But she deserves more than she wants."

As Jonathan and Drew started working in the backyard, Josh was also there. He also wanted to help them. So, he got his hands on one of the automatic machines and hopped on it. As Jonathan and Drew guided him with the controls and basic operation of the machine, Josh was enjoying himself.

"Oh, I hope you guys have an assurance," said Josh.

As he was enjoying it, the Property Brothers kept on telling him not to "flip" himself. When they asked Josh how things were doing and if Delia would believe that he was operating such a machine, Josh joked:

"Look at me now, Delia. This wasn't even for you. It was for me."

In his private confessional, Josh shared that he expected that he would be working in the backyard. However, the thing that he didn't expect was how he was able to enjoy as much as he did while working. After he got a grip on the machine, he started knocking down a huge cactus from the backyard.
