"I feel a little bit stressed": American Idol's Breanna Nix opens up about her tiring schedule ahead of the finale

American Idol Season 23 is heading towards the finale, for which the Top 7 finalists and the fans are excited. Before that, the upcoming May 11 and 12 episodes will determine which of the seven artists will advance to the Top 5, and then the Top 3 finalists.

One of the Top 7 artists on American Idol Season 23, Breanna Nix, opened up about their busy filming schedule ahead of the Disney Night, set to air on May 11 and 12, 2025, on ABC.

Breanna Nix, through her Instagram Live on May 9, 2025, reflected on the participant's busy schedule, how she has been enjoying DisneyLand with her husband and son while filming, and more.

"We got back from Disneyland, and today we are in the studio, hitting it hard. I feel a little bit stressed just to be honest with you guys. Because even though Disneyland was so fun, I took a couple days off and we have four songs to sing Sunday and Monday, and then we have the finale, which is like right after that, and so it's like seven songs that we have to learn. So it kind of stresses me out a little bit."

For the upcoming Disney Night episodes of American Idol Season 23, Breanna Nix shared how her schedule has been busy at Disney Land. In addition to filming multiple songs, she has not been getting enough sleep.

The Texan native recalled a song selection mix-up that didn't go as planned because three other artists also picked the same artist.

"Also, another thing that happened was I had a song that I picked but three other people picked the same artist and so they put our names all in a little hat and made us draw and whoever got like eliminated from that song, obviously, I unfortunately grabbed an E so I got eliminated."

As a result, despite having that song prepared, Breanna had to sing a different song. The new song that she chose was "very hard." Breanna was quite excited when she mentioned they are "so close to the Top 3."

Sharing more about the upcoming episode and Top 3 artist selection, she said if she is to get selected in the Top 3, then she will be featured in a "little concert" in her hometown. American Idol Season 23 participant said that it would be "so amazing."

"If I get to top three I get to go home and do like a little concert and that would be so amazing to Just come back home and like show my city you know that it's not like a Like, you know something that's out of reach, you know, and it can happen to anybody, you know, so that would be really really cool."

Further in her Instagram Live, Breanna talked about the rides she enjoyed with her husband and four-year-old son.
