I got so upset when I saw 1000-lb Sisters star Tammy vaping after her skin removal surgery

When I saw video of 1000-lb Sisters' Tammy vaping so soon after having skin removal surgery, I was genuinely concerned. It was more than a mistake, in my opinion; it was a flagrant disrespect for her well-being and recuperation. Seeing Tammy potentially risking her success with vaping felt like a smack in the face to everyone who was supporting her, since I believe her journey has been one of hard-won wins.

Tammy's medical staff made it very evident to her that nicotine poses a risk of infection, hinders recovery, and restricts blood flow. I believe that vaping in such situations not only jeopardizes her physical recuperation but also conveys a lack of concern for her own health. Fans should welcome her change rather than worry that she's risking everything for a puff.

This is about accountability, not about embarrassing Tammy. She is capable of making better decisions, in my opinion. It feels disrespectful to her and her struggle to dismiss the operation, which was a significant milestone, by vaping. I sincerely hope that this isn't a trend and that she makes thoughtful, health-conscious choices during the remainder of her season instead of acting on impulse.

Tammy’s vaping: Self-sabotage in plain sight after skin removal surgery on 1000-lb Sisters

The timing of 1000-lb Sisters star Tammy's recent post-surgery vaping incident is even more annoying than the fact that it was captured on camera. When video emerged that showed her vaping even after undergoing her long-awaited skin removal procedure, I believe fans had every reason to be disappointed. This circumstance, in my opinion, aptly captures Tammy's continuous struggle that has characterized her path throughout the series: her unwillingness to completely commit to the lifestyle adjustments required for long-term health improvement.

I think the fact that Tammy had to fight so hard to be authorized for the skin removal operation in the first place is what makes this even more depressing. In the 1000-lb Sisters season 6 finale, she admitted to vaping "several times a day," which is why her plastic surgeon first denied her approval, according to the show.

I believe that viewers sincerely believed she had changed after witnessing her vow to resign and her efforts to fulfill the medical standards. In my opinion, witnessing her revert to the same behavior that almost caused her surgery to fail felt like a setback in what ought to have been a triumphant moment.

Even though the criticism Tammy has gotten from 1000-lb Sisters fans has been strong, I think it shows real concern rather than hateful condemnation. It truly irritates me to see someone put in so much effort to reach a significant medical milestone, just to risk their recuperation by engaging in the same activities that previously created issues. Moments like this feel especially demoralizing since, in my opinion, people have emotionally engaged in Tammy's path, cheering her on and encouraging her through failures.

I believe that this larger trend highlights the complexity of addiction and behavioral change, which the show frequently ignores in favor of dramatic scenes. 1000-lb Sisters' Tammy's continuing vaping in spite of the health dangers, in my opinion, shows that weight loss surgery and skin removal operations are only temporary fixes that cannot address the underlying behavioral and psychological patterns that initially contributed to her health issues.

This incident, in my opinion, serves as a reminder that real change necessitates addressing not only the physical aspects of health but also the mental and emotional factors that contribute to harmful habits, a topic that reality television rarely has the opportunity to adequately cover.
