"I just pretended": Big Brother UK star Teja recalls her mom's words of wisdom

Big Brother UK Season 22 introduced 12 new housemates entering the reality show. The show revealed more information related to the housemates via their Instagram.

Through their introductory profiles, housemates opened up about themselves, what they like, and how they are in their day-to-day lives. Some of them opened up about their preferences, nature, love for animals, and more.

One of the housemates, Teja, recalled her mom's words of wisdom. As shared by Big Brother UK on September 30, 2025, via Instagram, Teja said:

"Ah...what did my mum say to me? Ah, this is it...Fake it till you make it! Obviously, when I come in here I was s*itting myself! But I just pretended like I was, you know, confident, and like, you know, I just had it all figured out. When really, I'm still s*itting myself! Do you know what I mean? That's my words of wisdom, actually."

Big Brother UK Season 22: Housemates open up about themselves through their introductory profiles

Big Brother UK Season 22 shared various introductory profiles for the fellow housemates. One of them was Jenny, 20, from Derry. Referring to herself as a "typical Derry girl, Jenny said that she was a rule breaker. She does not like to follow rules.

"If you tell me to do something that makes me not want to do it, and if you tell me not to do something, it means I am going to do it. I am mad, I do mad things, but I am a nice person," shared Jenny.

She also recalled one time when she pretended to be a flight attendant on a plane.

"One time, I was on a plane and I got up and pretended to be a flight attendant. Any hot drinks or snacks, guys? Any scratch cards, guys? You can become our first Ryanair millionaire. Derry Girls has already put Derry on the map, but now it's Jenny's time to put Derry on the map," added Jenny.

Another Big Brother UK housemate, Elsa, revealed that she loves anything and everything pink. With that, she stated that she had a "powerful aura" and that she would stop for every animal while walking across the street.

However, she mentioned that despite being a "very sweet" while she gets angry, she would go "bright red" and get "really mad" on the spot. Another interesting thing about Elsa was that she became a Christian because she could see dead people.

"I have seen them since I was three. I mean, they're harmless. Apart from...apart from some," said Elsa.

Further in her introduction, Elsa talked about day-dreaming almost anytime of the day, not being a b*tchy person, among other things.
