I Love LA’s Episode 4, titled “Upstairses,” aired on November 23, 2025. The comedy TV series created by Rachel Sennott deals with the story of codependent friends meeting after a long time, only to realize how things have changed amongst them.

I Love LA’s Episode 3 left off with Tallulah facing sudden online backlash and Maia trying to engage in damage control, questioning the firm’s usual playbook. With Alani’s support, the duo brainstormed alternative crisis responses rather than the apology route. Though the controversy brings some immediate setbacks, the episode’s ending may turn sour for Tallulah.

Episode 4 takes these themes of performance and digital reality and pushes them deeper into the narrative. Here is who brings this take to life in Episode 4.

I Love LA Episode 4 cast and characters: Here’s who brought ‘Upstairses’ to life

HBO's I Love LA aired on November 2, 2025. The show is created and written by Rachel Sennott, who also stars in the show as Maia Simsbury.

  • Elijah Wood as himself

Odessa A’zion, who plays Tallulah, has previously featured in Grand Army, Hellraiser (2022), and Fam. Her portrayals lean into emotionally honest characters. In I Love LA, as Tallulah, she brings a blend of charm and volatility to the influencer grind.

Rachel Sennott (Maia) is an actress and comedian popularly known for Shiva Baby, Bottoms, and Bodies Bodies Bodies. Her vulnerability and comedic instincts feed into the rather stressed-but-strategic Maia.

Quen Blackwell appears as an amplified version of herself, an influencer who worked her way through Vine, YouTube, and TikTok fame. She is known for her chaotic humor and self-aware online persona.

Elijah Wood’s cameo has him playing a surreal twist on himself. He’s a longtime film actor best known for The Lord of the Rings, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and extensive voice work across animation and games.

Episode 4 pushes the show’s early introduced themes into a wider layout. It traces Tallulah, Maia, Alani, and Charlie as they head to a party hosted by influencer Quen Blackwell in the Hollywood Hills.

Tallulah is sucked into the whirlwind of Quen’s content-driven world, where filming a simple TikTok trend turns into an endless series of retakes. Meanwhile, Maia and Alani roam upstairs into Elijah Wood’s intensely germ-phobic, eccentric space, leading to an awkward misunderstanding.

By the end of the party, they all realize how the world of glamour is ultimately, awkwardly transactional. Ultimately, they all regroup and leave.
