Sister Wives star Mykelti Padron is ready for a fresh start after relocating to North Carolina with her husband, Tony, and their children. The relatively new family’s transition is a big one as they soak in their new abode on a quiet cul-de-sac nestled in trees, which is quite the contrast from their last split-level home in Lehigh. Mykelti and Tony are excited to finally get settled into their new home after a good night's sleep and a quick unload following their long journey.

"I am stoked. I'm super excited. Oh, I'm way ready."

Mykelti views the relocation as an opportunity rather than merely a change of scenery. The couple views this new chapter as an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while remaining closer to family, particularly her sister Maddie, who now lives only four hours away, and Tony returning to work right away and advancing his chess career. Mykelti plans to relaunch her career aspirations.

Mykelti’s new beginnings in Sister Wives Season 20

Sister Wives' Mykelti Padron is anxiously anticipating a new beginning after being stuck going back and forth between work and home. With Tony’s chess dreams tucked in their back pocket and a beautiful home for their children to thrive in, the move has brought them into a new era of countless possibilities. But they are also terrible farewells, especially to her mother Christine, who is still passionately pleading with her daughter to come to her own mind.

Moving toward opportunity and growth

Mykelti's need for balance between career, family, and Tony's love of chess led her to relocate. While Mykelti concentrates on reestablishing her own career path, Tony can pursue his career as a chess tutor in Charlotte's expanding chess community. The family is closer to nature, and their children have more room to develop and explore in their new home, which is surrounded by thick woodland.

Sister Wives' Mykelti revealed, “The change. Yeah, I’m excited about the change, the difference, the opportunity. There’s a lot of opportunity out here.”

The move also brings a greater sense of unity for the pair. While Tony manages day-to-day childcare, Mykelti intends to more effectively balance work and motherhood. A genuine representation of the collaboration that viewers have loved on Sister Wives, they are creating a home that is full of love, laughter, and common goals.

Christine’s emotional goodbye

Mykelti's relocation marks an exciting new chapter in her life, but it's also heartbreaking for Christine. In their heartfelt chat, Christine acknowledges how hard it is to see her daughter depart while also expressing happiness for her excitement. Despite the fact that it pains her, Christine, who has been Mykelti's emotional pillar for years, admits that this shift is essential.

Christine confesses, “It’s been my support system for a long time. Oh, I’m going to miss her a lot.”

The affectionate, humorous, and understanding goodbye showed the pair's close mother-daughter bond. Christine is very impressed by Mykelti’s bravery in the face of change, although she laughs about crying all the way home. It is a perfect example of the things that Sister Wives does best: presenting real emotions, changes in the family dynamic, and the pleasure of release while supporting the people you love most.
