Lauren arrived with her friend Sandra and her brother to see Dr. Nowzaradan, the Bariatric Surgeon. He asked Lauren the reason behind that. She admitted that she "eats a lot." She added she eats lots of "fast food." The reason behind that was because she was "bored" and for "comfort."

When the doctor asked what she generally orders, Lauren responded:

"Oh, everything. Pizza, burgers, everything. Any fast food. Tacos."

Listening to her, Dr. Now's response was:

"What are you trying to do? Get as big as possible?"

Lauren responded that it surely looked that way, but that was not her goal. When Dr. Now asked why Laured "suddenly" wanted to change, she said she went to the hospital and had a "realization." She realized that she had a problem.

Dr. Now said that he looked her Lauren's record and he saw that she was in "congestive heart failure." He added additional issues, including respiratory difficulty and respiratory insufficiency. He mentioned that these were the issues that people get when they are in their '70s - '90s.

"And, you know, if you keep this up, anything can happen to you. You're not gonna pull through. So this is not a very good situation you're at."

He told Lauren that she had to lose some weight. For that, she needed to be "proactive" about changing her diet. He then suggested a 1200-calorie high-protein diet. It would contain no carbs in her diet.

Additionally, The 6000 lb Diaries With Dr. Now episode also featured Lauren, who also got some exercise that she needed to perform. They were for stamina build-up.

"And if you do that and stick to that diet, you should be able to lose 75 pounds in two months," added Dr. Now.

He said that was Lauren's goal. He also mentioned that that was something that Lauren needed to do right away. He warned Lauren that if she continued with her previous lifestyle, she wouldn't make it to 30.
