I think Ace is the biggest red flag on Love Island USA Season 7

I am not kidding when I say Ace might be the biggest red flag and a huge problem for the Love Island USA ladies this season. Also, I am so sorry that Amaya has to endure this man after the first recoupling. The worst part is, he is trying to act nonchalant about a bombshell like Amaya and isn’t treating her right anymore.

I mean, if you don’t like her, why did you pick her to be your partner during the coupling? You could have very well picked Chelley, who was interested in you, and you also seemed to be interested in her.

Amaya had a great connection with Austin, who wanted to pick her but could not get a chance because Ace was before him and took the girl away. This left him choosing Chelley as his partner, but it was obvious to the entire Love Island USA fanbase that he was smitten with Amaya and would have treated her right.

As for Ace, he seemed to be a nice person during the initial few episodes of the season. However, the most recent installment that dropped on June 9, 2025, revealed his true colors.

Amaya, who is a sweetheart, expressed that she calls everyone “babe” because it is in her lingo and she is used to it. However, Ace has a problem with that. How petty can you be?

In the first segment on Love Island USA, we see that he starts the conversation by talking about what Amaya likes to call her partners. Feeling like this was a normal question, she answered by saying that she would either give them a cute nickname or just call them “babe.” To this, Ace dared to say,

"Even babe, is like, a lot for me, and I noticed that you like to say it a lot."

Amaya thought that he was just joking and having fun with her, but soon, the conversation turned serious, and Ace confirmed that he does not want to be called “babe.” She then called him out directly, saying he’s just trying to make it seem like she’s the pushy one—and honestly, that pissed her off, as it should.

Later that night on Love Island USA, this topic started once again between them, and Ace was trying to act like Amaya was the problem. No, sir, sit down—you’re the red flag! I mean, you pick a girl, and now you get mad because she is acting like YOU picked her? Make it make sense!

On another note, Amaya had a valid reaction to this innocent gaslighting, which Ace is trying to do under the guise of boundaries. Are there boundaries if you are trying to change the way your partner talks? Especially when they talk in a way that does not hurt anyone and instead feels sweet? Why would you, Ace?

Also, another red flag was when it was obvious that Ace and Chelley had a connection. However, during the recoupling, he intentionally picked Amaya, whom he hadn’t even bonded with yet and had known for just a minute.

It feels weird that Ace is trying to play all these mind games, and Austin was right to check him on his bad behavior towards the ladies.
