Idol I Episode 1 is scheduled to be released on December 22. Created by Lee Gwang-young and Kim Da-rin, the series features Choi Soo-young and Kim Jae-yeong in the main leads.

According to Netflix, the drama falls under the romance and crime genres. While Netflix has not released the total number of episodes as of now, according to MyDramaList, the show is expected to consist of a total of twelve episodes, with two episodes scheduled to release each week on Monday and Tuesday.

The official synopsis of the Korean drama reads:

"Top criminal lawyer Maeng Se-na is a secret boy band superfan. But her work and passion collide when her favorite idol becomes a murder suspect."

Since the show is reported to have a total of twelve episodes, it is most likely to conclude on January 27.

Along with Netflix, Idol I is also reported to be streaming on Rakuten Viki once it's released. According to Rakuten Viki's website, a subscription will be required to watch the show.

Choi Soo Young as Maeng Se Na: Maeng Se Na is a famous lawyer who is very famous for handling big criminal cases and solving them. Alongside being a lawyer, she has also been a Gold Boys fan for over a decade.

Kim Jae Yeong as Do Ra Ik: Do Ra Ik is the main vocalist of the Gold Boys group, which Se Na is a fan of. He is also the main lead who is suspected of a murder case that Se Na handles. However, during the process, she does not reveal that she is a fan of the boy band.

During the process of helping him and proving his innocence, she hides her identity as a Gold Boys fan. In one clip of the teaser, Ra Ik is seen crying, after which Se Na tells him:

"No matter what, don't give up."

From the trailer, viewers see how they become close during the investigation process, with Ra Ik saying:

"It happens when I'm with Ms. Maeng, I become myself."
