Idol I episode 2 has been released, and the episode picks up from where it last left off, with Ra-Ik being accused of the murder of his bandmate. The synopsis of the episode read:"Facing dividing loyalties and backlash from all corners, Se-na questions Ra-ik as he insists on his innocence while his fandom erupts."It turns out even Maeng was bullied in her school days, and in the present day, she faces a new character, Kwak Byung-gyun, who is the prosecutor in the case. Surprisingly, Maeng also gets a flashback that shows Kwak as one of her bullies. The scene then cuts to reality, where the two are sitting face-to-face, with Maeng asking him about his statement. However, Ra-Ik becomes anxious, not able to believe that his bandmate is dead. He pushes the blame on the fans who trespassed and came to his house, which was taken away by the security.This leaves Se Na blank as she walks down the corridor, considering she is one of his biggest fans. Another colleague of hers who represents Goldie Entertainment asks her to let him take the case, and she agrees. During the interrogation, Ra-Ik is pushed by the prosecution, who tries to pressure him about Kang Woo-Seong's death. Ra-Ik loses his calm and even calls out his lawyer for not defending him.Maeng, angry about the same, reaches out to his colleague and questions him on why he is leaving Ra-Ik. He reveals that the prosecution party in the case consists of Kwak Byung-gyun, who comes from a famous legal family. He adds that Kwak is using this famous case to make his own name, which will eventually help him to get into politics, and going against them is going to be tough.Se Na gives it a thought and decides to meet her celebrity crush. During the investigation, she asks him whether he actually killed Seong. Ra-Ik once again loses his calm and angrily says he didn't do it.Maeng, being a fangirl, knew Ra-Ik couldn't act, and judging by his reaction, she understood that he was telling the truth. In return, Maeng asks for one condition, though the episode doesn't reveal it.Maeng eventually becomes his lawyer and takes help from her investigator friend to find more details about the case.She visits Ra-Ik's house, where the murder took place, and tries to understand what happened on the night of Seong's death. While she was diving into the details, Kwak Byung-gyun visited her, subtly pressuring her to leave the case.Maeng soon notices a mole on Kwak's neck, after which Idol I Episode 2 takes viewers into her flashbacks, where Kwak is seen bullying her at school and throwing water on her, indicating that he was one of her bullies.Maeng tells him:"I'm the type that actually enjoys doing irrational, crazy things. Se Na studies hard and decides to live her life without fear.One day, she sees Goldie Entertainment reveal a four-boy band named Gold Boys, of which Ra-Ik was a part. In Idol I Episode 2, Se Na meets the two fans and subtly tries to draw details out of them. Se Na lets them know that she can contact reporters, who would quickly dig into their personal details. She also warns them that she could file a lawsuit against them.They revealed sneaking in during the nighttime when the security guard was changing his shifts. Since they already knew the positions of the CCTV cameras, it made it easier for them to hide from them. They then turned off the motion sensor lights and waited for Ra-Ik to get home and enter his password.Once they had that, they saw the opportunity when the housekeepers were not there and snuck it without being caught.Maeng Se Na faces Kwak Byung-gyun in courtMaeng assures Ra-Ik that he's in safe hands and she will prove his innocence, asking him to accept that he didn't kill Seong. In the court, Maeng faces Kwak Byung-gyun, and as told, Ra-Ik doesn't admit to killing Seong in front of the judge.Maeng tells her side that the prosecutors are framing Ra-Ik based on the claim that no third party entered the crime scene. She adds that this claim falls apart because Ra-Ik's house was invaded by two fans two weeks before the murder took place, which weakens the prosecutors' credibility.She also talks about the weapon. However, Kwak is left with no other answer except to say that the investigation into it is ongoing.Maeng Se Na explains that it was raining heavily on the night of the murder, and this could have possibly erased any traces of a third person coming in, which should be taken into consideration. She defends Ra-Ik in front of the judge, helping him avoid being taken into custody.While going back home, Ra-Ik sees his poster with murderer written on it.
