Quick recap of Idol I Episode 1

Idol I episode 1 focused mainly on the main character, Maeng Se Na, a highly successful lawyer, and her celebrity crush, Do Ra Ik. Maeng time after time tries to meet Ra Ik through his solo concert and autograph signing event. However, she misses both of them.

She later tries to book a ticket to Ra Ik's concert. However, all the seats get booked soon, after which she contacts a scalper for a ticket. Maeng gives advance money to the scalper and promises him to pay the remaining money on the day of the concert.

At the venue, Maeng records the transaction and exposes the scalper's illegal actions, leaving him with no choice but to run away.

At the same venue, Ra Ik is trying to hide from his fans after they see him with his manager. Maeng, searching for the scalper, sees a man. She confronts him, only to find it's Ra Ik. Ra Ik keeps his hand on her mouth and asks her to keep quiet. Later, he goes off with his manager, leaving Maeng happy and surprised at the same time.

Ra Ik's bandmate, unhappy with his decision to pursue a solo career, criticizes him. He also calls him out for using a sad story of his mother, which makes Ra Ik angry, and he throws a punch at him. Fans soon come to know that the two had a fight, and Ra Ik gets a lot of hate for the same and how arrogant he is on the inside.

However, Maeng stands by him, showing her trust in him. Later, another bandmate visits Ra Ik's house, and Ra Ik tells him that he wants to continue the Gold Boys band instead of a solo career. The two seemed happy. When Ra Ik wakes up in the morning, he finds his bandmate dead in his living room in a pool of blood.

After the news comes out, he is taken as a prime suspect of murdering his bandmate. Maeng, being a criminal lawyer, visits him, and the two meet face-to-face for the second time. However, this time, Maeng was his lawyer, and he was a suspect.

What can viewers expect from Idol I episode 2?

Idol I episode 2 will mostly focus on Maeng asking Ra Ik for all of the information about the night his bandmate was killed in his home. In the trailer, Maeng's colleagues are also seen asking her why she is so interested in the case, and she is seen arguing about why Ra Ik's case is being dropped and why he is being sent to trial without a lawyer.

However, Idol I episode 1 has clearly shown Maeng as someone who is not afraid of hate and is very focused on winning the case. So it's clear, she won't let go of the case so easily. Though how she will help him will be something viewers will only come to know once the episode releases.
